I wanted to post the Tokens I have collected. This is for my Fighter.


Templar set. 16AC (Regen 3 Health upon entering room)
+3 Mithral Bracers.
+2 Dread Sword. (3-12dmg)
Gloves of Weapon Finesse. (+3to hit w/Melee)
Boot of the north Wind. (+3 pts of Cold Dmg with 1-Hd Melee)
Cloak of the Wind. ( want another Cloak. )
Charm of Good Fortune. (Extra Treasure Chips 2,3,4 depends on # of COGF)
Draco-Lich Claw Charm. (+2 Dmg W/any Melee/Range Att.)
Rod of Seven Seg 6. (+1 Dex)
Horn of Plenty. (3 instead of 1 Treasure per killed Monster.)
Ring of Riches. (3 Extra treasures @ end of Run.)
Ring of Warning. (-4 Dmg from Trap)(want Ring o Frost, +2 cold Dmg W/MW)
Belt- (Working on getting a Giant Belt of some kind)
Spectre's Spectacles* (+10 save vs Gaze Att) -would replace
Earcuff of the Wind
Earcuff of Intellect ( Not great, would replace)
Shirt of Health (Immune to Disease)
*Shirt2 Winter Shirt (Immune to Neg Init Mod from Cold Climates)
1 Ioun Stone Onyx Cube (+2 str)
2 Ioun Stone Copper Cube (-1 Dmg from Shock)
3 Ioun Stone Ruby Prism ( -1 Dmg per Melee Attack)
4 Ioun Stone Iridescent Spindle ( Sustains W/out Air)
5 Ioun Stone Emerald Cube* (Immune to Hold, Slow & Other Outdoor only)

thats a lovely set, the only thing I'd work on is making 5th level

Work on the Ring of Heroism. You can trade/buy one now (which might be steep) or start saving for the transmute. Won't be tough, just 2 more years to wait :(

I remember when the VIG tickets were first introduced. I am sure the first couple of years that they didn't sell out for at least a couple of weeks or even months. Thet kept tempting me to buy one, but I jsut couldn't see the value.

The year before the VIG was offered, I missed out on Hotels next to the Convention center. while people I knew got those Hotel rooms. Which in itself isn't a reason to buy the VIG.

At the time the VIG program started, they offered to handle our Hotel Booking. Now they just let us book the rooms on our own, but up to 3 weeks before the Block goes on sale for everyone else. This one fact has added to my enjoyment of the Convention every year since I have been apart of the program. Sure the price tag is high. But I looked at it as not having to take a day off work to try and hope I might get the Hotel I want. This Con is the one trip a year I take for me. So I figure it's worth not having to deal with the little things that can make or break my vacation. I know people that enjoy Gen Con in every way, and they drive over 16-20 hours and stay at a Hotel out by the airport. The VIG badge would be a waste of good money for them. Money they would rather spend on gaming. But there are a few of us gamers willing to spend money for a few small benefits and peace of mind. That's all the VIG badge is for me.

I wouldn't bother with the VIG for any other reason then the peace of mind that my Hotel room is taken care of. Sure the other benefits add up but it's the renewal of the badge and the early booking that keeps me coming back to the program every year.

Looks like a great build! The giant belt is good, as well as a Might belt to get the extra saves, and this year you can at least grab the Ogre belt for the +2 str. Not too much for the earcuff but there is a minus sonic damage one this year that might be better than the +1 save.
You don't have to outrun the monster, just the guy next to you - The buddy system.

If one buys a VIG ticket, do they automatically get dibs on buying one the following year before anybody else gets to?

Yeah, I was thinking about the Ogre Belt. Mostly because of the cost. Yeah I have seen many Earcuffs worth much. The Sonic one looks okay. Thanks.
