I'm going out on a limb here, but I bet that one of the GT perks this year will be that you get to run as a Prestige class, even if you aren't using the Rod.

Why do I think this? GT groups have traditionally gotten perks which are available to other groups at a price, but without paying that price. For example: Being under the influence of HoP even without using the HoP. Being +1 level without needing to use level-enhancing tokens.

That doesn't mean it is guaranteed... but I think it would be a reasonable perk. I know it would make for an awesome & memorable GT run if everyone got to play Prestige classes - even lucky newbies who don't happen to own a Rod!

I dont think we have got the +1 level...before.

We did! Waaaaaaaaaaaay back in ?2007? when we were all 3rd level characters, and Jeff was playing with options for 4th level characters, there was a year when the GT run all got to be 4th level characters.

(At least, as far as I can remember.)

Part of the problem might be people unsure how the combat/puzzle thing is going to shake out
