In 2013 our plans call for us to add an additional adventure to the event. There will be two consecutive adventure modules, and each module will have two variations of either a combat or puzzle orientation. The first module called “Lycans Afoot” tasks the party to travel through a dark forest in search of a tower, while the second module called “Golembane” challenges the party to reach the top of tower.

Great to hear from many interested people!

I'm kinda hoping to go in as a Ranger myself, but am somewhat flexible.

Looking at the number of people interested, it may be possible to get a few different 5-man teams going (with or without me involved).

Laz, EN, Darkangel - having played with you guys before, I would be glad to run 5-man Nightmare with you inext year. Hopefully we'll be able to make it work timing-wise, maybe with some of the other new(er) folks throwing their hats into the ring!

I don't plan to run as many times next year as this year
the scheduling really killed me on Sunday, but I would love to get in on one of these.

I'm setup for paladin (by preference) or general fighter type.

if not... do you need a torch bearer? :)

I'd love to attempt this. I am fully kitted for Monk (glass cannon); Ranger, Fighter, or Paladin; or Wizard. I don't have HoP, but I've got the other two and all the synergy charms.

And we have run a couple times in the past, Raven.

I remember running with ya, Xavon. And I don't remember trying to backstab you, so it must've gone alright, eh?

As for having HoP/RoR.... I honestly don't care which treasure generating tokens people equip for themselves (or their retainers), since they don't help in the dungeon. As for Charm of Greed... the way I see it, there's not much sense in wasting a useful Charm slot for a CoGF unless we get a bunch of us to do it, and can take advantage of at least the "3 treasure coin" benefit.

And even there, I'd be fine with mostly just equipping the retainers with CoGF/HoPs/RoR, so we don't waste good equipment slots on our live bodies.

Btw, thanks for your comments & enthusiasm Kaledor, Cormroc, Stormie, Rafiq, and Brad. I know I won't be able to run with everyone who is interested, but as the day gets closer, and we figure out schedules, it sounds like we've got lots of great folks to work with!

I have been lucky enough to run a few runs with you Raven, including a great Nightmare Truegrind this past year. I can run as a 5th level Monk, Fighter class, Barbarian, or Rogue if you can use me. If not, I want to at least hear about your group's exploits in all their glorious detail.

I know the four core members of TeamYeti are very interested in this format. We agree that setting up a variety of regular and unique runs makes for a great experience! Raven, hopefully we can repeat our True Grind victory!

Don't let Chris' modesty fool you. He and Lynette are true gamers; cooperative, fun to be with and willing to wash/wax your car between runs!

We are set for: bearbearian, cleric, wizard and paladin; and are building several new sets for maximum flexibility.
You still got hit points! Get back in there and fight!!

Raven, I'm not sure I'll be available for your runs, but it sounds really fun, and I look forward to hearing about how it goes! It's kind of like the early days - didn't we just have six party members in 2003?

Hi Raven, sounds like a fun idea. If there is space, count me in.

I did a four person run this year, and one of the puzzles was modified on the fly so that a four-person group could do it.

We ended up with 7 people for The Man with the Blue Feather run and had a blast. Everyone played it up and 7 people worked out great. The First Golembane puzzle the DM loudly announced that the holes in the back wall were plugged up. We ended up having enough people to guard the other holes.
You can't fix stupid but you can TPK it.

i would definitely be interested in doing this. i dont know if stacey would or not (probably depends on the people involved). if im not playing ranger, i could kit out a pretty mean druid (my wife's class, but she wouldnt be interested in this). it is a mix of caster/polymorph; with the cabal set, i would probably double spell the first round and polymorph for 2nd round and on (unless saving the double cast for a super-healing round). then have healing/divine scroll abilities to keep people alive (getting 3 of the scroll cabal item would be nice to double target with uncommon healing scrolls).
also, everyone in my party can fly next year (golden apple -> AoW = fly). the biggest issue i will have is finding a time i am free. INWAP Games LLC will have a booth again and i will need to get in my regular runs, but i will definitely try to fit this in if i could be one of the five.
this is not a signature.

Duude! You guys sound like you're set to do your own 5-man Nightmare with only a single spare person added in!
If I could be that 5th (schedules allowing) I'd love to run with you. And if it doesn't work out, it sounds like this thread has several interested & very qualified folks to fill out the 5th slot.

PS: Yes, it was awesome to run with Team Yeti, and I had a blast playing True Grind with ya :)

Yep, the early days (6- and 7-man runs) have a hazy golden glow around them in my memories. You could actually get to know your whole party (especially if you knew a couple of them in advance) and the teamwork was fantastic. (Well... except when it wasn't :P ) I'm glad the Blue Feather runs worked out that way too, cdsmith! The storyline woven there gave people a chance to meet & get some team dynamic going even before players set foot in a dungeon. Brilliant idea :)

Lately I've been listening to people's complaints of "10 people is too much! Raise the price and make smaller groups!" with a large degree of empathy. This is my way of making that change happen on a micro-level.

Ian, Apteryx and Kent - I have fond memories of playing with all of you guys too, and am looking forward to the day tix go on sale so we can juggle schedules and see who can make the(se) run(s) work!
