In 2013 our plans call for us to add an additional adventure to the event. There will be two consecutive adventure modules, and each module will have two variations of either a combat or puzzle orientation. The first module called “Lycans Afoot” tasks the party to travel through a dark forest in search of a tower, while the second module called “Golembane” challenges the party to reach the top of tower.

TOPIC: 3 hours to go

Re: 3 hours to go 10 years 11 months ago #49

Overall not to terrible this year, I got all my TD tickets for my group, and in the right order this time! Lycans than Golem! Should be a fun couple of hardcore runs. Also managed to fit in some other games around my TD planning.

I started off at 700 something and felt pretty good about that and then my Golembane run didn't work out at all. I have 6 different times and none of them worked out. Put another slot on the list and hit process and found out after I hit process I couldn't add any more until it fully processed.
So as it was ticking away, I saw the slot I added sell out but by the time I got the front of queue, someone must have dumped it back in and I got my slot.

Got my one of the my three Golembane times on the first pass. Had to go back and try for a different Lycans time, but got it. Not too bad.

Don't know why I was so worried about TD. That was pretty much the only thing on my wishlist I DID get. And that was hitting process immediately at 0 on the countdown, just like everyone else.

I got the one full run that I wanted AND a full run that I needed to try something interesting. Six(4 spots are taken) 'adventurous' people will get a run paid for by me. Details to follow. Muhahahaha It'll be fun. I promise.

No, really, it will be.

Well, I hope it will be

Still plenty of tickets availble and some full slots of 10. By this time last year that wasn't the case. Looks like the extra dungeon has helped that out a lot.

Can you imagine what this would be like if it had existed in old days when event selection was done by mail?

Of course GenCon "only" had 10,000 or so registrants back then.

Has anyone seen my Ensure?

Late to the party posting wise. I loaded up the queue with 242 runs and I was glad I did as I was somehow 3319 in the queue despite pushing it right at 12:00, last year I was 1400, so I guess I'm just bad at this. Still got 2 runs I liked Lycans combat Thurs and Golemsbane combat Friday. Being that far back I still had 8 full runs once my list processed pitched 6 back.

It's a good thing that we have friends to buy our group TD tickets. While it would have been nice to have items in our wishlists to hit send right on the dot, we were instead in the middle of a church service. This means that we're going into GenCon only with TD tickets. Anything else we wanted is long sold out.

GenCon might hear from me about the timing of their ticket launch. I'm a pastor. Sundays any time before about three tend to be very busy with no room to sit at the computer. Why Sunday? I feel as though GenCon is somehow discriminating against people who go to (or work at) church . . .
Blessings to you,
