Okay...here's a question I forgot about...

It's been a while since I've played regularly (did I ever do that?!) and I'm kind of set in the 2nd edition rules (it was difficult to leave the 1st behind) and haven't really read through the 3rd (I did say I was set in my ways with 2nd, right?)...

Will Wizards (elven?) be able to wear the Elven Chain and cast spells? Sounds great to a wizard lover like me, but I kind of figured TD would stick to the no armor rule for wizards.

I just remember elven wizards being able to wear elven chain and being able to cast while in it.

Thanks official TDers,

JKW
Currently the rule is Wizards and Monks, no armor. We are close to issuing the new token guide and through our edits Jeff M said nothing about Wizards being able to use Even chain. I will ask though. Expect the guide out within the next week or so.

Dave

One last question before bed...

Someone responded to one of my earlier questions by indicatging, perhaps jokingly(?), that people take their token binders INTO the dungeon. Is this a reality or a jest? Is it sick that if this is reality it makes me want to buy more tokens? I honestly thought I would give TD a try with just 10 tokens, including what my character would wear. The lure, however, of taking 300 or 600 tokens into the dungeon is interesting. Now I guess I have some idea why a few posts said people used 5-8 elixers of life, etc.. Wow!

I'm I just insane for wishing I had purchased a 2nd 25-pack even though I have money sitting on credit cards, a 2nd mortgage, and a second child in less than 16 days? These tokens are addictive. I know I don't have a lot of willpower when it comes to shopping for myself but this is rediculous.

JKW
Yes, may people take their binders into the dungeon. I will probably be one of them this year. Last year I had them in grouped my type in plastic baggies stuffed into various pockets--it didn't work too well...

Binders are critical for spell casters as they tend to have scrolls coming out of their ears.

As a Cleric - I have two full sheets of nothing but healing.

I also seem to be stocking up on Anti-toxin and Knock spells for some reason.

Another thing a binder is good for - easy visual aids. If I had cracked my binder open and looked for a solution to the chess room last year I bet you anything I would have found it...alas - my brain was not good enough as it was.

Those knock scrolls wouldn't have anything to do with that room with the moving/crushing wall last year would it? Speaking of which I had always meant to ask (but forgot) if you didn't get through the door before the wall got to you, was it an auto-kill or just damage (I assumed an auto-kill)...

I was thinking more along the lines of a tricky locked box, but use on a door is cool too!

Another tip for taking your binder full of tokens into the dungeon is to sort them by type and used tabbed index sheets to help you quickly get to the section you need.

Finding the right token in a binder isn't usually a problem. Getting it out is. I still think that TD should follow up on my idea of an officially branded token extractor tool. Mine has been incredibly helpful and I'm sure it would provide a good profit margin. After all, you just have to go to the local hardware store, buy pairs of needlenose pliers and stick a TD sticker on them.

Rangers and Rogues may use the Elven Chainmail.
