TOPIC: Official word on Ingredients and the 2010 4C token

I noticed that too.  I made sure to look away, but you know some people won't have that much self control.

That may be why the token picks on Saturday afternoon were so poor - maybe people had been looking in the boxes and picking all the best tokens. 

I agree it was pretty easy to see into the boxes and you might want to add some kind of sleeve or something to the top that you have to reach through to get into the box to prevent peaking.  I always pick the token as close to the back bottom right corner...you know it seems if I always pick that one eventually there should be a purple there...hasn't worked yet though...<br /><br />Jennifer

I noticed that you could see into the box. I did my usually, closes eyes and mutter "come on come on". This hasn't worked for me yet, but one day.<br /><br />Speaking as a thursday draw person/group. We pulled a fair amount of ingredients. I was dissapointed at the random commons as well, but oh well.

I thought commons in the treasure boxes were a thing of the past.<br />

Shouldn't be, but someone could have dumped turn in tokens in the wrong bucket, I suppose.  Ingredients of course would be, however...

I'm pretty sure we got commons in our token draws also, particularly towards Saturday. I hope next years treasure boxes are more like at True Realm

<br /><br />I went for the bottom of the near left corner, and that's where I found my Necklace of the Oak!  I was pleased.  =D

A suggestion for the 4C token for 2010 would be to allow players to use ingredient tokens from previous years in place of 1 of the 6 necessary 2009 ingredient tokens.  From all of the posts I've seen most people didn't draw a Creeper Thorn for whatever reason - problems with boxes, didn't run Five Aspects because they ran TD Retro at True Realm, etc.  It also seems that those that did pull Creeper Thorns are also holding on to them tightly as I've seen more people actually looking for them than offering them for sale/trade.  This would also be a reward for long time players who are now holding on to ingredient tokens from previous years that have no real use at this point.
