TOPIC: Complete List of Set Bonuses

Re: Complete List of Set Bonuses 11 years 4 months ago #25

Can the 5 mithal items be met conditionally with a ranger dual wielding mithral swords? So cap, shirt, gauntlets, and two swords - that makes 5 mithral items.

Updated with new set bonuses in the works and changes to Elemental Command Ring "set".
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?

The current wording in the first post seems to imply that the Supreme Ring of Elemental Command and a completed Rod of Seven Parts will need to be sent in and "combined" to get the next "power".

This will be the first of a new class of tokens called Eldritch tokens, and they will be colored orange. The Eldritch tokens will, in fact, create more set powers as the years go by. The Rod of 7 Parts combo will be another Eldritch token. The first set power should come into existence when someone has this Ring and the Rod . Additional powers will be granted for each successive Eldritch token added.

Jeff seems to imply that you just need to have both tokens (probably equipped) to get the first sent power.

This could certainly just be my interpretation as it looks like Jeff hinted at what the Elemental Rings would do and no one picked up on it at the time. Unfortunately, the post where he did such seems to have been removed.

Also, I think we can safely assume that the last Elemental Command Ring will be Earth. Then again, stranger things have happened.

[move][glow=red,2,300]Ring of Token Elemental Command[/glow] [/move]

I agree Gov, but I try really hard to get into speculation here. Until Jeff comes out and says it's Earth, I think I'm more comfortable using the blank. I wanted to add the new Mithral and Might set right away, but thought I should wait until they were finalized. And seeing all the permutations they've gone through, I think it was a good idea to hold off.

I finally broke down and put the new slots in for Might & Mithral because it seems like at least the names/slots of the items have been settled upon. I was on the fence about the Eldritch items, but thought it would be good to at least mention them in case people are making decisions about what items to acquire because Jeff sounded like this was happening.

I'll be happy to make adjustments if TPTB request it or if a lot of forumites think I've gone too far.

Druegar, I totally understand your hesitation to name the last ring until it official. In the end, I was really making the comment for little more than a cheap laugh.

Thanks for pulling all this information together!

The Ranger can also use all five Mithral items.

Also, I thought Jeff had confirmed the last elemental ring was the Earth ring...

That would complete five mithril items, but as per the rules, you can't equip two items of the same name, correct?

I think the only one who has a chance of doing something like that is Widseth.
