I think the HOP should cause diarrhea and toadlike wartiness the wearer. These would be curable by a special token useable only by the wizard.

Wow, if we have the symptoms, can we have a free HOP, too?

Never trust a guy that can spell diarrhea.

OK by me. I think you deserve one (without the symptoms of course).

Because eventually if you make them stack, in 10 years you would have *ahem* groups that can basically just ask for the entire treasure box with all the stackable token draws.

Well, at least if the items took slots, then people would have to voluntarily give up that slot for the token drawer, so they are making a sacrifice, rather than having slotless items like this one.

I'd prefer that there be no more "extra token drawing" tokens at all - but if there are going to be more, I'd prefer that they take up slots, like the Horn of Plenty does.

I don't know. I think that there will be more slotless items, the first part of the Rod comes to mind. We seem to have a lot of items in most of the current available slots (weapons, armor, rings, amulets) (head gear next year). There needs to be a way to affect sales, slotless items seems a great choice.

Oh, I don't mind slotless items, I was just saying that items that allow extra token draws should be slotted items, to require a choice for using it. The Charm is OK though, since it is very situational.

1. rod of seven parts, segment one...look at the bottom? ::looks at his token:: for what? there is no hand symbol there. looks slotless to me :)

2. the charm: i thought it was a decent idea that someone damaged got to draw an extra token. the change to player sliding a 20 i thought was a crappy change and unnecessary, but if thats what everyone prefers ::shrug::. the change to monster rolling a 20 against you makes it complete crap. maybe if it triggered for EVERY player with a charm when the monster rolls a 20 against anyone in the party? cant you see it now...DM says "monster attacks the bard and...kills the bard with a natural 20." and there was much rejoicing.

3. stacking issue. it should stack with HoP. my best friend is a great example why. she likes to play rogue. she doesnt own any tokens, i provide her with tokens to play, she gives me all the tokens she finds. when i mentioned that i might sell my HoPs*, she got a sad look and said "but i like 'stealing' more tokens." even slotless, i will probably only get one and let her use it. it should stack so that my rogue can steal piles of tokens and get away with it :)

*this past gencon, i found while equipping my party that i was 'rewarding' the friends who planned to keep the tokens they pulled by giving them the amulets that gave an in-game benefit, while 'punishing' my generous friends (who let me do the collecting) by giving them an amulet that did nothing for them (ie. HoP). so i thought it only fair to sell/trade the HoPs for other usable tokens...until she said she didnt mind giving up the amulet slot to be more rogue-ish.

I have to weigh in on this issue of the Charm. I also liked it when you got hit and got extra treasure. Though I can see why some people would take it too far and purposefully get hurt every room so nerf!

I can't hit a twenty if my life depended on it but I still wanted a Charm just because my luck would be I'll hit 10 20's if I didn't have one. Hmmm people who can hit 20's have skill so that makes it a complaint for those who have to rely on luck!

Then if the monster rolls a 20 against you then you get to draw an extra from the box. This would be good - if your alive! So complaints about all three options.

How about making this luck of Charm just that! It is slotless and allows an extra token pull from the treasure box - only if you correctly guess the secret word that opens up the false bottom. I see it this way. Every treasure pull the DM rolls a D20 to see what the secret word is (he has a card with 1-20 different words) and if the Q Charmer's answer is correct they get the extra pull. Otherwise just the one. So sorry bud! This way it is totally based on luck and everyone gets a chance to use it! Oh and the DM can roll for each Charmer in the room or so making it that if one guesses correctly they don't all get a pull without having their own luck. there can be mutliple false bottoms.

Lady Myke

When had the ruling been made that the Charm wouldn't stack with the HOP?

Kim

How about just letting each charm holder roll 2d6 when they do the treasure pull and if they get a "7", they get the extra pull? Totally luck based. "Daddy needs a new purp! (blows on dice, toss)"
Legally... its questionable. Morally... its disgusting. Personally... I *like* it.
It does stack (as of now). The original version allowed 2 extra tokens and with a Horn of Plenty you could draw 5 tokens. WooHoo!!!!!!!!!!

Guessing secret words or rolling dice would take up too much time.

That was the ruling at one time in time. I think it should be slotless as well. Would be less confusing.

+2 Sling of Impact is boring(and under powered) What was wrong with +5 damage on a crit? Now we a a ranged weapon that doesnt compare to other ranged damage wheels and a niche useless power. IMHO

Everything else looks great!!!
