<br />For what it is worth, 4th Edition made criticals do max weapon damage, instead of 2X or 3X.  (i.e. longsword does 8 hp, rather than 2X d8) Seems like that could work here, without causing instant kills.

Ummm. There is no randomness to monster damage.

<br /><br />I would, but stuff will even change as we are laying out the tokens because of text limits, not being able to find a good graphic and my ever-changing whims.  I think the best thing is just to wait and see the artwork.<br /><br />I do remember one other change.  The Boots of Speed have been replaced by the Boots of the Underdark (Rogues only).   =D<br />

<br /><br />Nothing is final till the tokens go on sale but, Jeff has said he intends to sell golden tickets again this year.  So someone can buy tokens for the dinner at True Realm and have a chance at a golden ticket at the same time.

<br /><br />Well not really - Monster damage is a static number for a certain attack type...the DM does not roll a damage die.

That is quite interesting.  I have never been fortunate to see a monster roll a 20 on an attack.  I do think that there should be some sort of critical to show the mayhem involved in battle.

Here I thought we would have moved past all that, otherwise I would have suggested a Drow Hand Crossbow.
