<br />Queller's Mask of Misdirection- While wearing this mask, the monster cannot focus on the player.  Player is protected from monster attacks as if being shielded by another player.  If the player attacks, the charm is broken.<br />

Belt of the Spider: Two ghostly arms form wielding a ghostly weapon and attack your foe.  This Allows the character to slide a second weapon for a single round of combat per room.  This also allows the ranger to slide four weapons, two with each hand. (waist slot)<br /><br />Amulet of the Siren: usable only by Bard;  monster saves DC 16 or takes 1d8 sonic once per room. (neck slot)<br /><br />Stone of Luck: allows one reroll of an attack that hit player per dungeon (neck slot)<br /><br />Dark One's Fortune: allows one reroll of any save after fail per dungeon, but wearer takes 3hp damage (ring, amulet, ioun stone?)<br /><br />Slippers of Spider Walking: wearer can't be knocked down; can walk around dangerous floors via the walls and ceiling (foot slot)<br /><br />Cloak of Blink: causes one attack that hits to miss instead once per dungeon (shoulder slot)<br /><br />Dusty Rose ioun stone: +1 AC (ioun stone)<br /><br />Circulet of Spellcasting: (+2 to spellcasting stat for class:ie wis for cleric, int for wizard...) gets one extra spell of highest level (player picks in training room) (head slot)<br /><br />Amulet of Empowerment: all spells cast from memory do 1.5x damage (neck slot)<br /><br />Beacon of Hope: Usable by Cleric only; Cleric takes 4 pts damage, but each party member heals 2 hp (neck slot)<br /><br />Amulet of Wisdom: ranger or paladin gain ability to cast divine spells from scrolls (neck slot)<br /><br />Gauntlets of Authority: The Paladin points towards the Ogre and shouts out the command, "Feather me yon OAF!!"  Once per dungeon, point to monster and shout: "Feather me yon oaf!!"  Every party member gets to make a free ranged attack at the monster. I like the Mask of Misdirection.  The only thing that would have to be decided is how it would be handled if all 8 members of the party were wearing one.  It would be rare I think, but it could happen.<br /><br />I also like the Scales of Justice.  Does the party member have to be permanently dead in order to use it?  Could you give the party member something like Elixer of Life or Potion of Death's Door after the Scales of Justice were used?<br /><br />Kim

<br />Wand of Wonder:  Effects can be on the token (maybe on the reverse side of it), or the DM can have the list and have the wielder roll the dice when used.<br /><br />Effects can include the following, or can be modified as TD desires:<br /><br />Slow the target down <br />Make the wand wielder believe that something else happened <br />Summon a great wind <br />Summon a cloud of toxic gas <br />Cause heavy rainfall <br />Summon a mouse, elephant, or rhino <br />Lightning Bolt <br />Summon huge swarm of butterflies <br />Turn target into a giant <br />Cause darkness <br />Cause grass to grow <br />Make all inanimate objects in range vanish <br />Shrink wand user to halfling size <br />Fireball <br />Makes user invisible <br />Makes leaves grow from target <br />Shoots forth semi-precious gems (this is actually an attack, they shoot out really fast) <br />Cause a funky light show <br />Turn target to stone (or if target is stone, then they will turn to flesh) <br /><br />

  Another option would be to have the Wand of Wonder be like the amulet of wonder and there is only one effect that is different every year.

Man, there are enough ideas here Jeff doesn't ever have to do this contest again.  Hey - waitaminnit!<br /><br />Cloak of Illusions - Wearer can declare they are using the cloak in combat - they can declare that they are appearing as another class.  If they attack as the other class, they slide as normal - before damage is determined, monster rolls a saving throw to determine if they believe the illusion.  If they fail, they take the damage as slid, if they succeed, damage is nothing, and cloak cannot be used again in the combat.

<br /><br />Hmmm...  I would say DEAD dead.  If they come back to life, the free healing wouldn't really be justified, now would it?<br />The exact HP healed could maybe go up to 3HP, or the success could go down to 6+ on a d20.  (If you roll a 3, he deserved to die!)<br /><br />I understand that this would make it a not-so-favorite of the token-holics, but a newer group who pulls this in a '00' bag might think it was awesome.

Because I've only got 10 minutes left, I'm sorry if I'm posting duplicate ideas. I didn't have time to read the thread all the way through. I know, I'm a slacker. : (  I just found out about the contest yesterday.<br /><br />Girdle of the Sybil: Once per room, use one ability of any other party member. (waist slot)<br /><br />Fortuna's Gift: Once per dungeon, the DM tells the party the secrets of the room, thus bypassing any combats or puzzles in the room with no damage. If damage were taken in trying to fight the combat/solve the puzzle earlier, the damage is healed (including damage from earlier rooms). This does not work for the final room, nor does it raise dead characters.<br /><br />Sorry - I modified the Fortuna's Gift entry after noon. It just didn't have the oomph I wanted. If you want to disqualify it - or both entries - I'm down with that.
Hope is simultaneously the salvation and damnation of humanity.

Ring/Amulet/Boots/Whatever of Immunity - Wearer is immune to end-of-room effects (e.g., if puzzle is not solved and all members takes 4 hp damage, wearer does not)<br />
