I could only hope, [sigh] too bad it would be a consumable and only good for one use though.

For what it is worth -- The actual blade used in the photo is an Ethiopian Scimitar c. 1930s-1940s from the personal guards of King Helie Selassie. It is a variant of the ancient Kopesh style of sword with the cutting edge on the outside of the curved blade and not the inside like a normal sickle style blade. So despite the name, it is a style of blade that a druid could not use. 
 I understand what you mean about it not really being a sickle, but you did describe the weapon as a scimitar which is defiantly a druid weapon. So, from my viewpoint, either description of the blade is a style that the druid can in fact use. (according to D&D at least) 
 As I said, while it is called or named as a scimitar, it is actually a variant of the kopesh. If I named or called a M-2, 50 cal. machine gun "a mace of holy blunt multiple projectiles" I doubt the DM would allow it for a cleric to use. It is a matter of function and not just name that applies.
