You must have the strangest nightmares!

Hah! Not since I learned how to alter dreams. I just make myself turn into a giant Mighty Mouse and kick everyones butt, then I wake up laughing.

I think they should stack.

[1] They are one-shot items.
[2] They each take a turn of not doing damage.
[3] It gives the Cleric something to do.

The Cleric is a pretty mean combat machine, in addition to all the healing spells.

The weighted net has never been a one-use item anymore than a handaxe or the throwing dagger.

As far as the net and the tanglefoot bag goes ... I still take the stance that they should stack ... just think about it ... who would get out of their bonds faster? ... if I were just to tie you up or if I were to tie you up AND then pour a bottle of elmer's glue on you? ... you'll find the glue makes the ropes much nastier to try to pick ...

Actually last year when our team was preparing to enter the breach the coach told us it was a one use item. Since at the time I had packed only one for the Fighter and Palidin we chose not to use them at all, so I would love to have a clear ruling on this because it changed our plans last year.

Where I saw some clarification on this ruling was on the last page of the 2007 token guide discussion at: http://truedungeon.com/trueforum/index.php?topic=2365.120
My thoughts were since the net doesn't take affect until the turn after it was thrown it would be the opening move for either the fighter, Pali, or barbarian (as they are the only classes who can use the net), then have the bard who has until this year no sliding experience to use the tangle foot bag to get some practical practice. Strictly opening move slides before moving into combat sliding.

*just an observation*

a net is usually thrown over a target. over the arms/head.

tangle "foot" kind of self explaning.

it seems like they would stack. =|

Hmmm... I could swear that it was decided that it was destroyed upon the creature removing it, hence it was a one-shot item.
Some of this stuff gets mighty confusing!

I don't remember that. My interpretation was that it was a one use item in a combat, whether successful or not, but could then be picked up. In other words, not a comsumable item.
I thought any successful hits wasted the item...but a miss - and you could go pick it up afterwards...

This way (KIS) the DM only collects a token when it hits...

Thing is - if you don't want to waste a round getting the missed item - you have to show that you have multiples...

Tanglefoot isn't just for feet. Gameterms I think it splashes over someone, no? It impedes movement of all sorts.
