TOPIC: Gold Ticket idea

Gary, the second I read that a Pirates of the Carribean commercial came on the TV!!!<br /><br />How did you do that?<br /><br />I too am envious of the Lords and Ladies.  I don't think I can earn enough x.p. this year to advance to 5th level. =(<br />

I think I'm two years away from Level 6 - and that's if I max out experience on both Regular & Nightmare runs both years.  It could be a challenge, if I can't convince my group to even do Nightmare run - it's scared them off.

<br /><br />No clue, and frankly I don't care.  The coolness factor of it on top of all the goodies that'll come with it are far more important to me than the exp which I'll be getting on normal runs with my normal group anyways.

It makes a difference to people who hunt for experience.  <br /><br />They may want to know so they can make an informed decision as to how many runs they need to buy to be sure and get all the XP they can.

Sure, and if the GT run does count as a normal run (which it should, and it did last time), then - if we run Nightmare on the GT run for instance, we don't have to run it on the regular run (and I'll be curious to see if there are 8 GT holders that would be interested in a Nightmare run). 

Pixie's two cents,<br /><br />I just wanted to state that I agree with others in that, at least some special run tokens(whether silver or gold ticket) are good as a random pack thing.<br /><br />One, it gave new excitement to those opening their packs.<br />Two, it also helped bring some people into the forum community and even volunteering. Something that helps the everday player become more involved is a good thing. Strengthening the base is a good thing.<br /><br />Whatever is decided, even if its just a few, I think that the Gold Tickets definitely did what Jeff hoped they'd do, and I hope that is retained in the future.<br /><br />*flees before someone throws something at me*

Good points.  The exp does matter to some.  I suppose it helps, too, that it's essentially a free run which means if we do get exp and are all able to survive it(Nightmare run anyone?) that'll be one less normal TD run they'll have to make.<br /><br />I, too, hope there'll be at least 7 more of us willing to do the Nightmare run that I can join up with.

The GT run will count for XP -- it is up to the group whether they run normal or [glow=red,2,300]NIGHTMARE[/glow].<br /><br />Just don't be mad if not everyone in your group wants to run [glow=red,2,300]NIGHTMARE[/glow].  Don't count on it being a sure thing.<br /><br />BTW, personally, I think it would be uber-cool to do is at [glow=red,2,300]NIGHTMARE[/glow]  level -- but I am a nerd.  It would be really tough as some of the GT holders won't have a boat-load of URs.<br /><br />They come in handy.
