TOPIC: Ebay Ring of Regeneration

Re: Ebay Ring of Regeneration 16 years 8 months ago #37

Has anyone ever used a Ring of Regeneration in True Arena? It doesn't seem like it should be legal since it's not a token available through token purchases.

Kim

There HAD to be DCs higher than 12. I had a +6 and I missed with a roll of a 10...

There was one DC-15, I believe.

Then either I did read the die upside down ;/ or the DM tried to kill me. I'll get him back next year. *shakes fist*

Its legal. Not very good though as it only heals you one point each battle so you basically have 51 HPs.

I'm going to guess the latter. Must have been a Drow hater or something. ;)

I still say that if the token is not potentially available through token purchases then it shouldn't be legal to use.

Kim

By that right you would have to make any combo weapons past/future invalid such as the masterwork spear.
Also all the 2005 in dungeon purples!
As well as any special tokens in the future possibly that are end of event prizes, or in dungeon only.
Any volunteer/VIP run tokens past/future.

This event is for the collectors and players to give them another opportunity to use their tokens.
As is they can only use permanent items and have 5 tokens.
How is it helping the game/event to start imposing MORE restrictions. And why should volunteers & collectors be penalized?
Especially over something that takes up 20% of their token space, and only prevents 1hp of damage being done that fight.
We upped the Beholder's saving throw DC to 14 for standard and 15 for HC after the first morning.

The rings of fort and will saved more than a few players. The rings, plus other magical and natural bonuses on the character sheets gave some players a pretty high total bonus.

I thought the Beholder was 15...Very Cool...I'd like to think this continues for HC at least and maybe also in last room challenges.

I must agree, if the beholder abilities were DC 12 saves, especially on hardcore, then they should have been raised because they need to hand out an arsewhooping. On that note I have picked out through this and that topic that hardcore is getting tweeked for next year.
