<br /><br />Actually, I think you are still allowed to ask the DM questions even when under a silence spell.  At least I think thats how the Dragon Head room worked in '05.

But it would be deadly for us wizards!  Is that the only class the guides specifically say that uses verbal components in spellcasting?<br /><br />Kewl idea!<br />

I think turning is verbal AND requires use of a holy symbol...??  Might be different in TD-land.<br /><br />And if I am not mistaken a Cleric must pray (aloud or in his/her mind...) so I dunno - could be bad for all casters.

As a bard, I just have to play my instrument or dance to cast spells, so no voice wouldn't be a big deal, right?<br />

Casting spells, probably okay - singing for combat bonuses - no good!<br />

Some spells require vocal components so I am sure it would have to be a general rule as having DMs memorize all spells that have verbal reqs would be too much.
