<br />How bout something like a masterwork potion belt - allow the character to consume 2 potions in 1 round instead of 1 (free action to retrieve the potion) or allow the character to drink a potion and still attack.<br />

<br /><br />Oooooh, I really like that. Even if it just gave the ability to drink one potion for free, at the beginning of combat, that would be a cool item.<br />Right now, I barely ever use my Potions of Bulls Str., because I can do more damage in one round than I would gain at 1pt./combat round across the fight. It's not worth using a round to drink a potion.<br />

<br />Yea, I was kinda thinking about the bulls strength and still fight and/or have the ability to drink a healing potion and still fight.

I could see that, kinda like a bollero with you vials of potions there. Pull one out, bite cork, and pull bottle to unstopper it and gulp down potion. Only takes one hand and a few seconds.<br /><br />Could be interesting to work up the image. :)

The pre-melee round can be used to gulp down a quick potion then start the melee.  Although I thought bulls strength gave 4 str so 2 to hit and damage.

Although I dont see more love needed for rangers now that they have the +2 flaming short bow.  They can output as much damage as the tanks especially with masterwork arrows.  All the while sitting in the back out of danger.

Trying to figure out the power-creep on that...<br /><br />Right now, the best (/only) belt is the Girdle of Hill Giant Strength.<br /><br />Replacing that with a Belt of Potions (Quaff one potion per combat with no round penalty) would mean sacrificing +3 Strength with the chance for +2 Stength. Or the chance to drink a healing potion. Or the chance to drink some Dwarven Mead.<br /><br />Doesn't look like it's too bad for creep. It removes the +3 Str for a bit of versatility, assuming you've got the Consumables to go with it. <br />Another way of looking at it, though, is that it gives you a free round of combat in which to drink a potion. A free round is worth a lot. This token would pretty much have to be a UR level item.<br /><br /> - Raven

Some more blunt weapons would be great.  More options for the cleric beyond Heavy Mace.

The new one does (I was thinking of the old one, which was lower powered)<br /><br />That would make this belt more powerful than the Girdle, although it would still use up potions in the process.<br /><br />Definitely UR, and with a little creep, I think. But not too much.

But where on your player card does it say you have a sack, backpack, vial or jar?<br />Where are the sack, backpack, vial or jar gear tokens?<br />

<br /><br />That is why I always carry my bag of holding in my with me.  I think the bag of holding should become a regular token and limit the total number of tokens you can carry into the dungeon if you don't have a bag of holding.  Maybe just uncommon.<br /><br />Just a thought.<br /><br />Widseth

<br /><br />two +1 weapons do more damage than even that bow...heck, two common weapons have better average (and max) damage.  ill grant you that i am looking to get a +2 flaming short bow as my ranged weapon (for pre-melee and non-melee-allowed situations), but once we are in melee, dual weapon all the way.  wait...thats not actually a good case for giving rangers better weapons, is it?  ::le sigh:: but, it is harder to hit with two weapons at once...please give us awesomeness? :)<br />actually, i was just trying to find something to be the rangers thing, instead of us just using the best items that were meant for another class.  im sure others feel the same when they see items that are made for a particular class.
