<br /><br />um - well since you asked - yes I would like them made without the metal core...just for travel reasons...but if I did not have to travel, then I would keep them the same...<br /><br />

<br />If they are 11 grams each (I think thats right, maybe 11.5?) then 800 would weight 8800 grams or 8.8kg = roughly 20 lbs!   :O<br />

<br />I think, where I have a woodie and a chippie of the same token that I'm going to use at the TD runs, I may bring the woodie to lighten the load a bit.  Gotta have a bit of that old school charm anyways to go along with the spiffiness of the new tokens.  <br />

<br /><br />I will definately be using woodies for a majority of my haul to INDY!!  I think the only chippies that go with me will be a few for ingredients and GOLD of course...trading may be limited to 1 copy of each RED...  Not sure yet.<br /><br />WOW - that was a bunch of quotes to comment on...just can't pass up a chance to comment dontcha know.

<br /><br />I thought at least Smak picked his up on Wednesday.  I'm still waiting for my tokens - hopefully today.  I tried the link on the Post Office site where you can have them email you with the status, so I did that, and the email just said that they were notified two days ago that the tokens were expected to be shipped.  I've got that ketchup "anticipation" song running through my head  =D

<br /><br />I don't know about anyone else, but I haven't seen anything.  My understanding is my tokens went out in the first batch but (as others have also noted) the USPS web site still says "The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on May 23, 2007 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date."<br /><br />I fiddled with creating a USPS shipment from the TD zip to my zip and it quoted me 2 days (Bummer given I'm only 400 miles away), so I'm hoping to see something today.<br /><br />

yeah, as far as the delivery notification, it seems to be horrible.  ive been checking and it always had that 'we have been notified' message until this morning, where it says the package arrived in indianapolis this morning at 8:30 (apparently it teleported from TD to the indy post office?)...so i am hoping it will be at my door this afternoon.

Post Office "tracking" isn't really tracking in the strictest sense of the word.  Some guys like FedEx (I think) have multiple checkpoints where they'll scan your package, so you can watch it cross the country, and you can always tell roughly where it is.  USPS, on the other hand, is likely to only record pickup, delivery, and the occasional large distribution center.  So, that "teleport" effect is fairly common.  On the plus side, USPS has some tracking information that way (instead of the typical none), so things are less likely to get permanently lost in the aether.  <br />

UPS tracks it at every sort-spot...if it gets off a truck and scanned in - you also see it scanned out...<br /><br />USPS seems to only do origination and destination scanning.

Gary and Arcbat are both correct. Sometimes packages will be scanned at larger distribution centers before moving along the mail stream. Not every piece will be scanned at that point. It is a "delivery confirmation" scan and not, as Arcbat said, a tracking number in the truest sense.<br /><br />thanks,<br /><br />Larry

i'll pick mine up on sunday (my day off from work). i had another errand to run in roughly the same area as corbondale, and put it off until tokens came in. it also saves TD a little bit on shipping. i figured 180 lbs. feel free to cross check my math.

Someone on the GC forums mentioned getting theirs.

Gary, <br />     I have not gotten my tokens and since I was having them sent to my office, that mean I will not get them until Tuesday.    So you get yours in CA nearly 5 days faster than I get mine.  And I am only 250 miles from TD.   I love the post office.  <br /><br />George <br /><br />PS.  I do like the poker chip box.  I may have to get a few of those.
