OK, here are two that I am sure people are waiting for:
Gauntlets and who can use them:
Gauntlets and armored gloves are not usable by Wizards and Bards. Gloves are allowable, see token guide for specifics.

and....
wait for it....
Bracers and who can use them:
We have decided to allow Wizards and Bards to use bracers, the next version of the guide will reflect this.

Thanks Dave.

What about Rogues and Monks for the Gauntlets?

And don't ye be forgetting Druids too!

I'd imagine that if Bards can't use Gauntlets, it seems unlikely that Rogues would be able to.

Gauntlets might interfere with standard hand attacks (or maybe just make them more effective). I don't see why Gauntlets couldn't be used with Bracers of the Dragonfist though. And since Monks are a relatively weak class anyway, I don't see why they can't get a break.

Since Clerics can use Gauntlets, I don't think it would be overly unbalancing if Druids could use them too. The only argument against Druids is the new picture makes it appear like the Gauntlets are metal. But appearances can be deceiving (as the Small Shield also displays a metal item, but Druids are still allowed to use the Small Shield).

The guide currently indicates that Bards, Rogues, Wizards, Druids and Monks can not use Gauntlets.

I am going out on a limb here to say that we will make a definition of Gauntlet as a heavily armored, likely metal, covering for the hand. In general these would inhibit playing for the Bards, hand motions for the Wizard, dexterity for the Rogue, metal aversion for the Druid, and just flat out be to clunky for the monk, who having hands honed into weapons by themselves just does not need the extra protection / value. So any new "Gauntlet" will fit that category.

Gloves, on the other hand will be usable by all and not be made of metal or heavily armored, meaning their value is through some magical enhancement and will not violate any of the above rationalizations.

This of course means I have to remember this generalization in the future when and if we add items in these two categories, but I am sure you all will hold us to it.

Dave

Okay. Yeah, just make sure the distinction is clearer in the future. Right now, the Gauntlets are both Gauntlets *and* Gloves. The description refers to them as "gloves" no less than *three* times!

So to clarify, the text on token is wrong. Correct? Or was the token text changed to reflect this change in class usability?

If not, I think player coaches need to be ready for confusion from new and old players.

I'm wondering what token you are referring to.
If you're referring to the 2007 Gauntlets of Ogre Might token, it doesn't say on it which classes can use it. So, whatever is in the Token Guide goes - although I'm sure most players will assume all classes can use it since it doesn't say otherwise.
