I wish this were a story, but it is true. I have to admit--I smiled a lot as I fell asleep last night.

Widseth

A true story is even better.
The magic is in the telling, tho!
It wouldn't have read nearly so well this way: "My grandkids came over and wanted to trade tokens with me while I was napping. Swap some boots, reds for purps, and gold chips for plats. Man they were cute."

You pull the reader into the action, and weave a scene so vivid you can almost hear the clunk of chips as they fall against each other, being sorted by small fingers.
That would be SoCal of 2004 when the madness started and I'm just a comparatively little fish, but hooked none the less.

Widseth

Ditto - SoCal 04 - when I talked my team into buying a Dungeon Pack!

Great scene, Widseth. Thank you for sharing.

My first time at Gen Con and True Dungeon was 2006. I started out as a FT Vol. It was a very unique and enjoyable experience.
I believe the addition started then. I *splurged* for a $250 purchase. I traded away my DSS for some Elixers and other goodies. I decided I needed more tokens - for a better chance of survival. While the first $250 order was well outside realms of sanity for me, I bought yet another $250 purchase. Nuts! Crazy!

Well, that snowballed and now I'm trying to figure out what I can sell so I can afford more tokens. :)

Welcome to the Addiction.
