TOPIC: what makes one a "tokenholic"?

Great, Mike.  That's what I had in mind.  I was picturing a check-box version.  I was trying to picture either boxes (like you have) or tokens as the check-boxes.  <br /><br />Smak -  I was assuming the picture would be on the back with the Charter Member 2007 / Tokenholics Annonymous would be on the front.<br /><br />"This year's token order" sounds good.<br />I was going to throw out some other thoughts (like above):  <br />"What's in your treasure chest?"<br />"What's in your token chest?"<br />and something right along the lines of how many tokens did you order this year?  (basically what Mike has now and that works).<br /><br /><br />Hm...front wording.  It'd okay to put it on either side, but if we put it on the right breast (from the point of view of the person wearing it), then when someone looks at the shirt, the writing will be on the left.  Since we're taught to read left to right, this seemed to make more sense visually to me.  Does that make sense to anyone else?  It also means that the first words on each line would be lined up evenly. <br /><br /><br />Front Text:  Option 1<br />What I'm suggesting (from view point of someone looking at the front of the shirt):  <br />Charter Member 2007<br />Tokenholics Annonymous<br /><br /><br />Front Text:  Option 2<br />What I think (left breast) would mean:  <br />                                                              Charter Member 2007<br />                                                          Tokenholics Annonymous<br /><br /><br />Votes on the Front Text?<br /><br />(Oh, from Gary's prevous posts and the responses to it, I thought most people wanted the CM2007 listed above the TA.  If that's not the case, please speak up.)<br /><br /><br />Okay...Smak, can you please clarify about the front "Got Purp?" and "What's Your Addiction?"<br />Are you suggesting both token pictures or text or a combination thereof (like text of "what's your addiction" and a picture of the "got purp?" token)?<br /><br />Did we want to refine any of the names used for the order titles?  They seem decent, but wasn't sure if anyone had any suggestions to add.<br /><br />Did we want a picture of a token beneath the order chart?  I'd kind of like someone looking at the back of the shirt to see a token.  Perhaps we can make up a token (like Mike did above) with something that would fit for all tokenholics?  <br /><br /><br />Participation on this topic seems to have dropped quite a bit.<br />Let me say again - we can certainly make more than one T-shirt.    I didn't want anyone (including myself) to be left out.  I was hoping to get a shirt the majority would like to wear.  Of course, we can have multiple t-shirts to fit multiple personalities.<br /><br /><br />

<br /><br />That's alot on one shirt!  Getting busy!<br /><br />I like the CM2007/TA on the left side of the chest, then on the back either the Smakattack check-off list, or the Got Purp token.<br /><br />Whatever the final product is, I'm likely to get one!<br />

I'd vote GOT PURP as we addicts do tend to search them out...

<br />Mike,<br /><br />    BTW, don't let me or anyone else discourage you from your ideas.  <br /><br />I do like the idea of the token collector's heart...I guess I should have made suggestions as to what, if anything, I'd like to see done differently (in examples to check out).<br />A few thoughts:  <br />--  The explanation at the bottom is too cramped.  I'd like to see it more readable.  Of course, if it were a 12" token, it might be more readable.<br />--  I'm color-blind (deficient is probably more PC).  Is all the text and picture white?  If so, I'd suggest making the heart deeper in color, such as a reddish or darker pink.<br />--  The cursed item idea fits great with D&D and the idea of being compelled to order tokens.  I guess I didn't like the idea of my heart being cursed.  That and the "captured heart" bit.  In any case, as I said, the cursed heart thing is a great D&D-type idea.<br />--  I think I wanted to see more of the heart.  It seemed pretty covered by the Cursed. <br /><br />Just throwing out ideas here...<br />    Perhaps if it is single-sided, we just make it huge enough to show all the text?<br />    What about making it a Front and Back token.  You could put some of the text on one side and some on the other?  Not sure if there's a need to do that if we blow the image up.<br /><br /><br /><br />Again, we can always have more than one T-shirt.  It's nice to have options.

Smakdown - <br /><br />    I like that.  I also like your previous suggestion which seemed to indicate the "got purp" on the front (beneath the "what's your addiction" text, and with the CA/TA up top on the left breast) with the "this year's purchase" text and chart on the back.<br /><br />I like them.  I just haven't made time to play with graphics (and I need to rebuild my computer and install software to do so anyhow).  If someone would be kind enough to do the graphical artwork, great.  Otherwise, it'll have to wait a little while.<br /><br />I'd also like to see what we can come up with for a shirt using the "heart of a tokenholic."  From what I've read, it seems as thought it costs nothing to put these shirts up on CafePress for others to buy, so why not create as many good ones as we want to and make them available to the masses?<br /><br />

if we can put the artwork up on CafePress for anyone to order.....<br /><br />could we go with an agreed main one for the charter year and each person order their own with their name? then get bunches of the others for the following year.<br /><br />just ideas.

Oh yeah.  I forgot about the "charter member" stuff - and possibly not making it available outside 2007.<br /><br />I'd have to see if you can "make your own shirt" and NOT have the shirt layout stay available for others to purchase.  If so, we could get the images all set, and leave a spot for your name.  You could edit the image with your name and upload the images to cafepress to make your own T-shirt, personalized for you.<br /><br />Good catch.<br /><br />

So I guess I tell the garage guy to forget it???
