Sure, there was the gratuitous use of pretentious diction replete in the quadripertitus series. I’m sure a staff could be found with lenitive properties to flush the experience. Look, I’m sure it’s condign to make yourself hard to understand to the reader, your audience will grow properly chary. But, when the first page of a new chapter is like 10 words you haven’t (over)used in book four, most of the way towards the end, that stick out like a sore pollex, feels like you are just trolling the reader.

Ya I donated $100 and only got one. But after as long as it took I guess I should just feel lucky I got 1.

I've read all the Thomas Covenant books a couple (at least) times, and I've always enjoyed them. It's been awhile since my last re-reading though.

You read the relatively recent four books?

I actually like the two trilogies. Sure, I just skip over the first book's slow burn on moving from "being a leper sucks" to fantasy consistently and generally skim through sections of books I've read before that don't interest me, but the latest stuff is excruciating with a completely anticlimactic (and vague) ending.

How recent are they? I didn't know there were newer books. I may have just read the two trilogies.

EDIT: OK, I guess you're talking about the Last Chronicles 4 book set. I did read those, but I think I didn't enjoy them as much as I did the first two trilogies. When/If I reread the series again, I'll probably read those again also.
