TOPIC: Rarest tokens list?

What a fun thread, ideas:

* Badge of Nobility (but it will get less scarce over time)

* Mithral Coin of Fate (not sure how many of these there ever were, I think you were 50/50 to get one upon exchange of a UR Special? one year). Many would have been redeemed.

* Feedback Loop - not sure how many of these there were to begin with

Tokens that are no longer usable
* Relic CoA
* First orange CoA
* Old trade and reserve tokens (I believe there were multiple printings of these that still exist)
* Gold backed 1st Tooth of Cavadar
* Original Lenses of Divine Sight, Cloaks of Shadowskin, and soon to be Mad Evoker's Charm

* I imagine lots of the early URs are very, very scarce - how many UR Scroll Fly or UR Potion Cure Lt. Wounds ever made it into circulation, and how many of those were redeemed?

* Artisan Tokens (4 of each)

In 2007 you could turn in a Special UR for a chance at the Bracers by sliding on a board. Maybe there was also a PvP event but I'm not sure. And not sure of the story behind the Pouch but it wasn't a standard Uncommon.

I'd leave off misprints unless they were nonunique misprints that circulated.

For instance I've had a token that was double struck with stickers on both sides, I've had tokens with no stickers, etc..

I would leave in potentially other misprints that were circulated, like the 2020 edition of Ava's +5 which had some white damage wheel numbers on many tokens.

I also think we might be sleeping on some URs that might be super scarce. For instance, I would be utterly unsurprised to discover there are less than 50 Hat of the Hellway in ciruclation.

I'm aware of a token no one has yet listed, which I've only ever heard of one of.

Based on the reduced buying of a certain big collector in 2016, the Orb of Dragonkind Wyrmkin might actually be the scarcest of them (although people may have consolidated more 8k orders than they would have previously - the 2015 version was a surprise given at the end of the season).

I've got a few of those.

2003 Rares in general are exceedingly rare. I've been hunting them for years, and still need far more than I have.

Yeah...I'm kinda hoping he's thinking of the platinum back Uncut Gem Truecraft token, which I actually just acquired a few months ago. Or maybe he's thinking of the Jeweler's File Truecraft token. I finally got one of those too.

Matthew, I agree with you regarding most misprints not being on this list. But I would include numerous woodie misprints on this list, because they were made from a mismatch of printing plates (like 2005b back with a 2005a or 2006 front) or even different versions of printing plates. I've got several different versions of Elixir of Life, for instance. One of the fun things about buying large collections of wooden tokens (and it's been awhile since I've been able to do that) is finding a few misprints in each batch.

I'm not sure how many Garnet Charms made it out, but I'm fairly sure there were only 3 opportunities to get one, and not everyone with the option took it...
