TOPIC: XP Codes for Sale?

I posted this based on prior forum discussions indicating handing out xp codes was frowned on. It looks like there isn’t a clear rule about it. The tone people have taken on this more recently surprised me (supporting selling xp codes.) Arguing it brings players deeper into the game sounds false to me. The same argument could be used to support counterfeit COAs, etc.. The people with the counterfeits just get a bit more treasure than those who used xp codes they didn’t earn. TD still gets ticket sales, so what’s the harm?

As many have said, if you missed getting some codes for runs you actually did, TD will help you out and get you the codes. If they are more recent (last 2-3 years), quite a few forum members could help out as well. I’m not sure why I rarely throw my codes away - they just go into the same boxes the survivor pins do.

Because xp does have a small cost to TD (badges, extra treasure, etc), I wouldn’t recommend giving out codes to people who didn’t do the runs, it just feels like a dishonest thing to do.

I think there is a not-so-fine line between giving codes to people who "lost the card"/"didn't know what it was"/"didn't care at the time" and the selling of the codes for profit. I see it the same as re-selling tickets for runs at cost and trying to sell tickets for a profit.
