Mine also arrived at the Aurora distribution center at 9:41am this morning and departed at 10:51am. It appears this is the new normal for my packages from Carbondale.

It seems silly, but at least they also seem to receive/send them pretty quickly. My expected delivery still says Saturday, but would expect it no later than Friday and possibly tomorrow if all sorting sites are working today. It should arrive in Oak Creek early this afternoon. If it follow the route of last month it will then go 10-15 miles to a Milwaukee central site and then go 4-5 miles to a West Allis central site and then finally be sent 2 miles to my local PO. Last time that all happened overnight and I had it the next day. We'll see.

But as Fiddy says, that doesn't necessarily correlate to good pulls. For V1a I had to wait over 2 weeks, but at least got a normal MB distribution and 1 UR (out of about 200 pulls). I missed V1b, but for V2a I got my package within 3 days and had a horrible MB pull (about 6.5%) and nothing else special. If nothing else, that lowered my expectations. So any improvement over last time will be appreciated.

Actually, it does. For packages with really cool tokens, we fill the box with a special shipping gas. Sometimes though, due to barometric pressure, temperature, relative humidity, and astrological alignment, this gas can can cause high-value tokens to vaporize if the package is not opened up quickly enough to expose the cool tokens to a nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere. I guess we could try a different kind of shipping gas, but we bought tons of the stuff and don't want to buy anything else until we run out of what we already have. There's no point in being wasteful, right?

How does the gas (or TD) account for the different amount of transit time?

Maybe this is why I've never pulled a legendary.....

I feel like we now have the reason there is soooo much sturdy tape on the packages. It isn't to keep the tokens inside the box, it is to try to keep the special shipping gas from leaking out as quickly.

My package is in my city, but not at my zip code. Still time for that to get done, so I may get my swag tomorrow.

The gas itself is not flammable, but the cardboard box is, so opening near an open flame is ill-advised.
