Because it occurs in the year 2021.

Again why wouldn't it be part of V1a-V3a season? We haven't had season tied to a year for years now.

Because it occurs in the year 2021.

I dont feel year should have anything to do with it as in the past the seasons were not always based on yea. If I am remembering correctly, it was not that long ago they used the smaller cons to mark the start/end of seasons, which is why at one point had a mix of New/Old modules at cons like Origins, where the treasure you pulled very much depended on what dungeon you ran if you didn't take the 50x pull treasure bags.

Per Jeff the 2021 Monster Bits will start with V4a and beyond.

Logic would dictate that V3b is part of the 2020 cycle.

I will be completing multiple Skull of Cavadars in 2021, but I have no desire to play the RoSP classes at this time. If I give/trade away my voucher, how will that person visual verify during VTD runs?

To use the Voucher with the Ro7P the Ro7P must be equipped. I imagine it is the same for the Skull but looing at tokendb it is not 100% clear. "Similar to the completed Rod of Seven Parts, once per season you may play one of 12 special sub-class characters." Though the Ro7P doesn't explictly say so i the tokendb either, but that has also been the case in the past that you had to have the Rod equipped to use the voucher. You could loan voucher and rod out but they had to be used together.

"Each RO7P has its own unique serial number. This
number is used by to ensure each RO7P’s sub-class is
not used more than once per year.
The player redeeming the voucher must also equip
the RO7P. The voucher-redeemer may not lend the
RO7P token to another player when the owner is
playing a sub-class.

The "season" traditionally changes with a specific convention event, IIRC Origins is traditionally considered the "start" of a new season and the current season runs till the last convention before the next Origins.

The voucher for the Skull will 99.9% require the skull be equipped to use.

It's also not likely for a Skull to be crafted in time for V3B anyway given they aren't expecting to ship tokens till mid Jan at this point. It seems extremely likely V4A will be the first time a skull can be used.

Sorry where have you seen an expect date for TD to ship tokens? Last I saw Lori hoped they would get them in time to ship out for V3b, but it is out of her control when they receive them. Has there been another update?

Nope, but that's based partly on Lori's comments and partly on history.

Even if they ship in time for us to recieve by V3B there's not likely much chance to ship in a Skull AND recieve it back by V3B given probably 7+ days of shipping turn around.

That really depends when they ship them. If we get them later this month, then there would be enough time to do the turn around. NOT saying that we are getting them later this month just that it is possible since we got them in Dec last year. Now is it likely? I haven't a clue.
