Why do they specify that they don't require a free or standard action? Wasn't done last year.

All (I hope) Figurines of Power in the TDb specify that they don't require an Action to activate. I don't understand why it's problematic to clarify this in the QTR, whether or not a previous QTR mentioned it. Is there a compelling reason why you feel this should not be included?

Yes. I've added wording to make that clear. Look for it in the next beta update, which should be out later today.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?

Great question! The latter. You may not use this weapon if either before or after equipping it your +To Hit and/or +Damage bonuses exceeded +10. I've added wording to make that clear.

Not that I've earned it, but I'm going to ask for a personal favor. I realize emotions are high because of reasons too numerous to enumerate here, but when you're going through a beta of something, instead of assuming a change is a deliberate attempt to screw you over, consider the possibility that it's just an honest mistake. Maybe, just maybe, I didn't short a bonus or increase a penalty out of malice. Maybe, just maybe, I made a copy/paste error or got confused and looked at the wrong text. If you could just give a fella the benefit of the doubt, it'd sure make my day. And maybe, just maybe, it'd make you feel a little better too. Maybe.

Thank You

Page 25, FOP Reaver - may want to add a line in for any Hitchhiking Ghost token.

Page 28, Gem of Last Hope - may want to align with GP cost in the TD Database of 500 GP.

page 5, Ashenne's - "(double the base damage of a Spell by sacrificing 25 damage" I believe should read HP rather than damage

Didnt the Skull of Cavadar grant access to sub-classes? It doesnt mention that on page 13.

Looks like that same error was on Mage Medallion. Thanks

Druegar, you've absolutely earned the benefit of the doubt. :)

Skull of Cavadar does allow you to play a sub-class 1/year, thanks for catching that oversight.
In case anyone was curious, if you own both a Ro7P and SoC, you can play a sub-class twice a each year.

Regarding editing your existing posts in this thread:
If you report an issue and then later edit that post for the purpose of adding additional reports or altering an existing one, there's a decent chance I won't see the change. This is especially true if the post you're editing has posts after it.
E.g., If you make a post on Saturday and then edit it on Sunday, if I went through the thread to make corrections on Saturday night, I will not see the changes you made.
I've seen this happen at least twice in this thread, so I figured I ought to say something.

TLDR: unless you're adding to an existing post you made more than a few minutes ago, it's probably best to make a new post rather than editing an old one.

Where can I find the 2021 QTR? I'm not seeing a link and I feel I'm missing something obvious.

Matthew Hayward wrote: Can the QTR clarify the questions around Archmage Power: Boost described at:

Could I possibly impose upon you to give me a post-QTR "executive summary" of those questions? I believe at lease one of those questions was answered in the QTR.

I shall certainly try :).

Although I did try to explain (no, wait, that would take too long, to sum up...) the points of confusion on the thread and I'm finding it very, very hard to convey concisely in writing. If it's not clear below maybe PM me and we can hop on a 5 minute zoom or phone call.

There seem the be the following questions:

1. In order to use Boost, do I need to first generate a spell to be modified with the Boost, or does the Boost Mage Power generate its entire effect using only a Free Action and requiring not other "inputs."

E.g. when I use Alter, I must first cast a spell (say with a standard action), and I can then use Alter (free action mage power) to change its damage type.

Is Boost like Alter in that way that you must first cast a spell and then modify it with Boost?

Or instead does Boost let me change an ally's damage using a Free Action only, leaving me with a Standard action left over to do other things.

2. When I use Boost, is the spell used to calculate the Boosted damage crossed off the character card?

3. When I use Boost, does the Boosted spell have both its normal effect (e.g. targets a monster with full base and bonus damage), and also the effect of improving the damage of an ally's melee or missile attack?

Once those are sorted out, there are some independent questions about interactions of Boost and other Mage Powers.
