Game Hole Con one year I had about 60 transmutes I was bringing with me.

Boss asked me to fly to France the week before to teach a training class.

Any idea how much fun it is to fly to France with 60 transmutes in plastic grocery bags in your carry on and go through security 5 times each direction?

I know! :P

Hmm... it is under 5 hours for me to Carbondale. Kind of tempting. I have more than I want to mail right now.

Same here.

does anyone go the extra mile and duck tape the inside just incase?

I wonder if TD has ever gotten a transmute order that had "too much" tape?

i think i am guilty on this one...

26 hour drive.

I generally send the low tier transmutes via USPS and maybe 1 relic but anythign beyond that usually waits for an in person event

It's about 5.5-6 for us....sounds like a good excuse for a weekend trip to st louis after Covid :) ....though, by then, we'll have in person Cons, which we also drive to.

But it looks like I’m stuck with mail for a while.

Tape jokes, I love em. Especially puns!

Oof. Would you believe me if I said I didn't even mean to make that pun? :silly:

I would, most people do not appreciate the sticky situation of accidental punning. I on the other hand appreciate the bind a pun could put one in. I also just am a terrible human being that loves puns.

No! Is this a thing or were you mad?

Do you ship relics in smaller box shipments or do you put them inside larger shipments?

FYI, if you would like to do a token transaction at TDHQ, you MUST make arrangements with us (Jeff) in advance. Do not just show with your tokens. This is true for all times, not just during a pandemic.

I'm not saying anyone has shown up w/out notice, I just want to be very, very clear about what is expected.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

I'll generally place 1 relic transmute in a medium flat rate box when I am doing other transmutes and insure the whole thing for $400-500 in case anything gets lost.

If I am attending an in person convention I will hold off on sending in relics for up to about 6 weeks. If it's longer than that I'll usually send them in just to have things done.
