Gut says over. ANOTHER thing eating the scarce 2019 monster bits, plus the rest of the recipe -> over.

Agreed, about the only way I could see it selling for less would be if someone was flush with trade goods and was willing to see below cost to get some liquidity. I know there were some people doing that with CoAs but I've seen most of the usual suspects for that selling fragments already so it doesn't seem likely.

I've been thinking about Orion's Belt.

I think it might be more in demand than I initially estimated.

First off, I think complete sets of fragments + bits are going to be rarer than I originally guessed: I had 400+ pulls this year and only put together one. I don't have 6 spare fragments so even if I could balance out my extras I wouldn't get to 2 without aggressive trading.

Second, I think a build of:

Earcuff of Orbits: +2 Ioun
Arcane Earcuff: +2 Charm
Charm Bracelets: +2 Charm
Belt of Orion: +1 Charm +2 Ioun

For 8 Charm, 9 Ioun is very a appealing build that offers a huge amount of flexibility, especially with the volunteer Ioun and Charms.

Surtr's Girlde edges it out for raw power for melee builds, but Charm of Glory, Charm of Wonder, and Charm of Brooching in 2020 all add up to being able to field 8 very good charms.

Same story with Iouns: 3 treasure Iouns, 4 +2 Vol Iouns, 4 +1 Vol Iouns, Sapphire Prism, Topaz Trilliant - plenty of good options.

I've been honestly surprised by the current prices on completed belts. I think those prices will quickly rise

I agree. I ended up with 2 sets of 6 RRFs. I had been thinking about making only one belt and selling the other set, but my view is that the belts & RRFs are undervalued right now.

My expectation going into the numbers was a price of about $500. It's been a fair bit less than that.

I expect it will go up as supply dwindles and more so once out of print

There are certainly good theoretical options for the belt. In practice I've never seen a topaz Trillian or quicksilver cube for sale, and the others are super rare.

It depends on when you got into trading - they were all gettable ~3 years ago.

All the STR users I've talked to have been pretty lukewarm on Orion's. Arcane Belt is going to be pretty good next year, too.

I don't foresee the demand being too high for Orion's

depends if you need slot enhancer.

to maximize treasure chips, 3 of them will be locked in the ioun stone slot: silver, gold, platnium???? for the +6 treasure chips.
With CoA taking charm, it would only leave you with 2 charm and 2 ioun stone slots so slot enhancers are needed.

IMO Earcuff of Orbits and the 2020 Arcane Earcuff are the best for least given up as Earcuffs aren't as great as other slots.

in the end, gives flexibility to builds and do you have the tokens to fill those slots and to maximize a build.

Considering only currently available tokens, I think both Matt and I agree Orion's is not currently BiS for STR builds. However...that's only with currently available tokens...Orion's has a lot of potential....

Def. Presumably, your 8th charm and your 8th and 9th best IS would have to merit it. Belt is such a clutch slot already. I definitely dig the design.
