Can we get a clarification as to why the recommended practice is to leave them in their cases?

Are they more liable to break now that they're coreless? Does the case provide some type of RFID protection?

Not official answer of course, but yeah they are more likely to break without the core.....depending on the stress you put on them.

per the coaches guide, wont we have to take the CoA out of the cases

Am I missing something? I still see the 2017 coaches guide in the resource section.

An updated Coach's Guide will be released soon (not SoonTM ). It will detail the new TE verification process.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?

I’m hoping the new system lets me just show while keeping the tokens in my sash or in my magnetic clamshell, it would just make life easier but I understand if that can’t be the case.

Well, I don't think I got any shipping notices, but I just got home from travel and my CoA tokens were here waiting for me. The treasure chips were a nice surprise. Thanks, Mike!

My understanding is the RFID tokens are non magnetic, but your point is well taken.

Correct. The 2019 CoAs do not have steel cores like all other tokens have.

Do the 2018 and 2019 dragon orbs have them?

While I dont think it was ever explicitly stated, I assumed that RFID and steel core were mutually exclusive.

Also would make sense why they came in protective cases

I knew better than to use "all" but I didn't listen to myself...
I'm fairly certain the 2018 orbs have cores and I think the 2019s do as well, but I'm not certain.

If cores and Rfid tags aren't mutually exclusive, I am quite disappointed in the decision to remove cores from the new CoA.
People have and use magnetic carrying cases. Why take that away if not doing so was an option?

Cores and RFID tags are not mutually exclusive, but reading *through* a core presents serious issues when dealing with certain types of RFID tags. The specifics get pretty in depth, so I’ll just ask for trust - we made the decision with your benefit in mind. Cool? :)
