I'd disagree. The Returning aspect is easily as important as the +1 aspect or the Loading aspect. I think I'd say that Returning plus either of the other aspects is UR-worthy, all three may actually push it to Relic.

I'd argue though that we should do a +1 Returning Sling Bullet before a Returning crossbow bolt (or arrow).

Totally not biased on that suggestion, of course. :whistle:

Actually, no. It isn't because EVERY class can use sling bullets. It is because the ONE class that has least benefitted from ranged weapons the last several years doesn't need to be left even further behind.

Would it be crazy to just suggest a UR quiver that just bestows the returning property upon ammunition used? (I guess that might depend on how many arrows of slaying are still in circulation)

This has been suggested before.

The fallout arguments are similar to what's happening with wands. you take a consumable and stop it from being consumed then someone decides this isn't healthy for the game at large.

My $0.02: Yes, definitely too powerful at UR. Even at the Relic level it might be too much.

You'd grab that quiver, and then a handful of different uncommon and rare ammo tokens. Then in each round of combat, you could apply +2 damage (of whatever type the monster you're facing is not resistant to) or a variety or other potential effects. All of this without giving up a slot (other than not being able to use it with a second ammo).

Unless you did it like a Fitting Base. UR/Relic Quiver that gives you endless of one type of ammo for the adventure, but the token is turned in at start.

What if the token granted unlimited ammo for one room only but was a consumable. If rarity is the issue it could be made like the +3 ammo of alteration so all range weapons could use it.

That is actually the exact wording off Gloves of the Flying Fist.

Though looking at them again, I wonder if the relic/legendary are strong enough.
