Steel / Bismuth / Argonite would be much better for beads - All are dramatically more difficult to come by than Plank / Silk / Stones

+1

Perhaps beads and ioun stones go into the grinder to churn out some sort of combination of arcane/radiant/luminous/incandescent + powder/dust/shards/crystals (arcane powder, radiant shards, etc).

Please, no more PS materials.

I can swap some DP for PS if you'd like. Probably would be able to do at least 40 if you're interested.

I have 80 DP I would like to swap for PS also. Sent a pm.

People will always have too much of X or Y unless the recipes consume in rough proportion to what is being transmuted / distributed via condensed packs.

Td just needs to balance the proportion of ingredients with the proportions of trade goods being issued.

Changing the prevalence of X or Y to match the proportions in recipes would also work.

Having a 3:1 transmute option between the common transmutes would also work.

Beads don't have damage wheels, so that's not going to fly.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections/suggestions in this thread .
If I write something in teal, it should not be taken seriously.

Neither Does a shield or armor...

More or less, pick any trade good that doesn't already have 100+ in a typical 8k condensed pack to avoid over supply of one type of good over another.

Arbitrarily shifting trade equivalents isn't going to fly. The category needs to be logical. Beads are neither weapons nor armor, so if you were dreaming of beads becoming an armor or weapon based trade good, consider it smashed crushed.

Please define your goal.

Is your goal is to globally reduce excessive quantities of a certain trade good (in this case plank) by moving it to another trade good? If so, moving Beads from Plank to Stones is likely akin to rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. My understanding from other players (certainly not myself), and looking at auction prices, is that there are too many thing generating Silk / Plank / Stones and not enough things using Silk / Plank / Stones. Solutions to this problem are many, but if your goal is different, there is no point in further comment.

'Smashed'? I think you mean 'crushed'. #DreamCrusher

Add EMs to the glut of trade goods. EMs are taken care of in the current 2020 recipes.

I have 0 EM, and only briefly had enough to transmute 1, before my bard decided to start using ammo.

How are you defining glut? I'll happily buy some at $1.25 per if you've got a bunch extra you don't know what to do with.

My goal, not necessarily the goal of others in this thread, is for the trade categories to make sense. In my mind, feel free to disagree, a bead is very obviously jewelry and therefore belongs in the Philosopher's Stone category, not Darkwood Plank. It's a change I've wanted to make for years, but haven't acted on that desire because of the tsuris a change* like that would cause. When I saw someone else suggest a category change to cull the DP-eligible tokens, I chimed in with my "secret desire". ;)

Forumites may understand how all the trade categories are defined because we are used to them, but most players aren't. To that end, the categories need to maintain their broad definitions to be as clear as possible. E.g., Mystic Silk is made from clothing, Philosopher's Stone is made from jewelry, etc. Trying to explain to people why, just as a hypothetical example, why a bead is considered a weapon would be problematic.

While I'm not opposed to altering where tokens get sorted, if the new categorizations don't make logical sense, you're just spinning your wheels. (hypothetical examples ahead) If y'all think Charms should go toward Philosopher's Stone, I think that's a logical change. If y'all want Shirts to go toward Elven Bismuth, that's not gonna happen.
