It hasn't come up for me yet (since none of my groups have used them), but I wonder if other groups would benefit from supporting the bard instruments that aren't just hit/damage bonuses?

I'm sorry if it is obvious but I can't find or see the answer. How do you on the web app create a pregenerated character then have access to it in your account to see/switch out the tokens?

My group has been using the various bard instruments on our red runs, so we've been using the App for that. It would be appreciated here. As would scrolls like Bolster Allies (if they aren't there already, haven't checked).

You would need to build the pregen and then edit it. I imagine the list of tokens the pregen is available somewhere but off the top of my head I am don't remember where.

You can clone any of the pregenerated characters they are under the user account "pregen". Please do note these characters will be updated once the 2021 tokens arrive.

Well, would you look at that! Thank you!

If and when the pregens change let us know. Thanks for all of your hard work on this!

Marc D wrote: Hello,

Thank you again for all the hard work on the web app! It's truly impressive how much is done to support VTD in under a year :)

I want to report a minor difference between the phone app and the web app: bonuses from off-hand items in different attack modes.

It looks like the app makes a distinction between Strength for melee vs. ranged, but the web app uses the same value for both. The following example shows the discrepancy:
1. Create a new, blank Paladin
2. Equip a Bliss Bull Shield in the Melee Offhand
3. Equip a Mighty Sling in the Ranged Offhand
4. Observe the Statistics page

On the phone app, the Paladin has +1 hit/+1 damage in melee, and +1 hit/+0 damage in ranged. In the web app, the Paladin has +1 hit/+1 damage in both attack modes.

Page 67 of the PHB suggests that the phone app has this implementation correct. It's a minor item that likely only affects a few tokens, such as Orb of Might and Bliss Bull Shield, so I can understand if this is a low priority.

Thank you!

Yeah so this was the reason why I had it so you could not equip two different shields (this was a heated discussion two years ago). Needless to say there is a really long backstory here the short answer is I already have this fixed just waiting on getting other changes done for the v4 series before its released.

Thank you though for checking these weird interactions, and keeping me honest B)

I figured that was the case! And, yes, it's these weird interactions that make coding this an adventure, I'm sure :)

The other interaction was Orb of Might, which was possible even with the "one shield per character" limit. I just tested it on the app with the same character above (blank Paladin). If you equip the Orb of Might and a Mighty Sling, the Sling gets the damage bonus from the Orb. My guess is that your fix is general enough to accommodate both scenarios, though ;)

Thanks again for all the work here!

I've got a request that just popped into my head. I'm not sure how feasible this would be (maybe crazy difficult, maybe simple, maybe non-technical reasons not to do it)...

Having the ability to duplicate someone else's build is an awesome way for me to get a build to someone in my group that is using my tokens (and is much appreciated). It loses a bit of that awesomeness when I need to do some last-minute shuffling across multiple builds and get several people to re-duplicate my builds before a run. Would it be possible to add an option to VTD player interface to select builds from another person to play as? Or as a different approach, a way to keep a duplicate build linked back to the original (basically make it a view-only copy of the original, that gets updated whenever the original gets updated)?

I see the use of this especially if your just loaning an entire character to someone in coaching. I am not saying yes or no to this I need to think how hard that would be.

Minor issue, but just thought I'd mention it. I just got my Medallion of Nobility, and decided to add it to my character card for shits and giggles. I was surprised to see that the site thinks that it gives +1 treasure token. Unless I'm mistaken, you don't get the extra draw until player level 6, not 5, so the medallion does not indicate that, right?

Traditionally, as there is no level 6 token, the Medallion has served as a surrogate proof of level 6.

Players have taken it upon themselves to not equip it until they've actually earned level 6.

The answer to this is in the Coach's Guide (emphasis added).

Coach's Guide wrote: A player who has attained at least 6th-level gets +1 treasure. The player must show you either their MEDALLION OF NOBILITY token, their official 7th-level purple TD “Elite Level Player” badge holder, their 8th-level pin, or their BADGE OF NOBILITY token as proof of being at least 6th-level.

The 5th-level token serves as a proxy for being 6th level. Like many things in TD, you're on the honor system until you actually reach level 6.
