So several of you have asked for VTD support to be built into the site. Well, it's not done but an initial framework has been released. This i not fully functional quite yet but should be done before the next VTD in two weeks.

Some caveats:
  • The application is optimised for mobile use. Once functionality is final the desktop optimized view will be done. Note the mobile view will work on a desktop it just will seem off you’ll see what I mean.
  • Currently only the Barbarian is fully implemented. All other classes will work but some skills/spells will be missing until they are added to the database. Sorry it would go faster if the character cards weren't images. I will post a update as each class is added
  • Sneak attacks and polymorphs are coming along with other unique skills I am focusing on getting to 90% done first.
  • A Character’s state is saved for 24 hours if you want to reuse a character for another run within that timeframe then select the settings tab and select reset to clear out any state from a previous run.
  • Weapon damage is not included yet. I have to add every damage wheel to the database. It takes time
  • The roller difficulty refers to the likelihood of success in any given roll. By default it behaves exactly as the App does by rolling a d10 + 10, as the difficulty scales it moves to a D20 then a weighted D20 not in your favor. This functionality was added for those who were complaining about auto hitting. Note the options for it are there however does not function yet.
  • Coming soon there will be a button to advance to the next room. This will clear out any buffs that are not bardsong and will apply any regen your character may have, this is not a mandatory feature for you to use but mainly for quality of life.
  • Auto gen characters are coming one day but for now only characters you currently have built are available.
  • A export/import to .tdc will be added shortly if you want to use the app instead. In the meantime Fiddy has a script to convert the character files.

If you have any feedback or added functionality you would like now is the time to mention it before my free time goes back on lockdown.

Side note: A huge shout out has to go to my wife who volunteered to take the bulk of housework and child watching. Without this my time and ability to add this level of functionality would not exist.

You are awesome! Overall I really appreciate the clean design; looks like it will be pretty easy to switch back and forth between views. I like that it's possible to check which buffs are currently set and remove them where appropriate. I like the subscreen buttons to choose your mode of attack (especially because this will probably stay the same most of the time).

I love having my Once Per Game notes available! For my fingers, on my smartphone, it would help if those physical checkboxes were slightly larger (they're so small that it's taking me several tries to click them).

On the attack screens, I would like to see the raw die roll along with the modified to-hit result. When damage wheels are ready, I'd also love to see that raw number. Something like "Hit: 31 (natural: 15)" and "Damage: 25 (wheel: 12)". This provides comforting reassurance that edge cases (e.g. expanded crit range) are being calculated correctly, and facilitates manual adjustment on the fly if we notice one that isn't.

For different reasons I'd also love to see "Hit Modifier: 16 (buffs: 6)" as a handy way to notice that I accidentally forgot to turn Prayer off. :)

It feels weird to me that Saves are sandwiched in between Defend and Heal (both of which are about HP); my intuition would prefer to see Save either on the far left or far right rather than in the middle.

When I click e.g. Reflex I'd also like to see my reflex save modifier displayed, and (like combat above) the final result along with the raw die roll.

I'm a little concerned that the Defend screen is too fiddly right now. Having to choose melee, range, or spell doesn't cover every eventuality (e.g. puzzle or push damage). I think my suggestion would be to remove the current type/modifier selector buttons and instead simply display a checkbox for each of your character's non-zero DR stats. So if all I have is -5 Fire and -2 Spell, then I only see checkboxes for those two, and I can check one, both, or neither of them as appropriate (and since the numbers are displayed too, I can also choose to just subtract in my head if I prefer).

The Damage Amount and Heal Amount fields should have HTML input type=number so smartphone browsers will know to display a numeric-only virtual keyboard rather than the full qwerty keyboard.

Big thumbs up for making HP changes require entering a number and then clicking a button (all while current HP is still visible), so there's no way for a single errant finger tap to obliterate my knowledge of how many HP I have.

One issue with HP: because the VTD feature tracks current/max HP and won't let you heal past your max, we need some way to enter the synergy bonus for CoAS/CoS.

Most importantly: THANK YOU for doing this! I love to suggest tweaks, but I could almost use this today once damage wheels are added.

    There was a bug that prevented that a while back but has been fixed for a while. My guess is that the stats haven't been recalculated since the update just change any token and it should fix itself.

    Nope. Still doing it. I changed tokens before posting yesterday. No dice. Same this morning.


    So I tried testing this by cloning you character and it works fine. There might be something corrupt in that character state but I have no idea what. Can you try cloning your character and seeing if the clone works?

    Amorgen's spreadsheet has damage wheel data. So you could "borrow" that data.
