Probably shouldn't even say anything (LOL), but my spell sequence was set up to use Sharpen on a Ray of Shock. Three times the spell damage was doubled with a crit in the first two combat rooms. I was not wearing the Bracers of Guided Strike, so didn't think a crit was possible against undead or constructs.

The damage boost was nice, but did point out to the DM that the damage was incorrect. I don't think anyone wanted to do the math (the total was a combo of two spells), so he let it stand. It happened in two consecutive rooms. Thought maybe it was totally broken, but it didn't crit the 3rd time I tried it. But then it did crit again in the 4th combat (although crits were legal there). Still, some insane die rolling.

Edit: I was using the IOS version on an iPad and was playing the Human Wizard at the time.

Hi all. Was playing around with a pretend character adding the snake priest set. Shirt, hat, kilt. The +1 damage for the set seems to be working but the shirt +3 to fortitude doesn’t seem to be calculating. Could also be user error, but thought I would mention it.

Version 11.3.0 has been approved for Android and IOS with the following changes:
1. Updated Creature File
2. Corrected several Snake Priest Tokens
3. Corrected a problem with DR and spell critical hits

+1 Mystic Staff of the Serpent shows up in the Melee Weapons section although the description of the Token in Tokendb states that it cannot be used to make a melee attack. Also, when I equip it in the Missile Weapon section it is not calculating my Missile to hit correctly. My Druid has a Dex of 20 and without the staff equipped I get the correct +5 to hit missile bonus and my Spell stats show a 5 for ATT which is correct , when I equip the staff (Wisdom 19) the app gives me a +6 to hit Missile bonus and my Spell ATT also goes to 6 which is wierd. I would think my Missile bonus would drop to 4 because of the 19 Wisdom and my Spell ATT would stay at 5 because of the 20 Dex?

Originally Mystic Staves could be equipped as melee weapons, but lost the ability to use Intellect or Wisdom for melee. It's just a stick. I will have to check, but if that changed, no one has told me of an errata about that.

Note that the use of Intellect or Wisdom is optional, so if the Dex bonus is higher, that will be used. It is also a +1 staff, so a total bonus of 6. The spell bonus being 6 is incorrect. It should not include the weapon bonus. Another item for future.

I don't recall mystic staves ever being able to be used in melee. Since they were intended to be kind of like unlimited use/next generation wands (though not actual wands--just to be clear), it seems unlikely that melee was ever an option for them. But if anyone has a proclamation from Jeff or me that says otherwise, please let me know.

Have you looked it up in the TDb?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

I recall the discussion about the use of the staff as a melee was during the initial token development for 2022, but I don't see those threads around any more. I appear to not be the only one with that impression, as Amorgen has the same setup. I suspect the web site is the same way. In any case, they are not hard things to change. I will add it to the list for the next update.

I need to remind myself to not read ANY token development threads until the QTR is in final release. It bites me every time I do, because every year something changes after it goes to the printer.

Tokendb only lists it as a mainland weapon not as off hand
