TOPIC: True Dungeon Character Generators (App)

Thank you very much for the Divine Intervention change!

Announcing the release of version 9.4.1 for the Character Generator app for IOS and Android with the following changes:

1. Updated Creature File
2. +3 Turkey Leg of Smiting is now available as an offhand weapon

Friendly Reminder:
It's fine to test updates prior to an event. However, please don't post anything that might be considered a spoiler in this thread. If you discover an issue in a new version prior to the event, please send a private message to Cranston.

Two things I noticed with the Android app:

Equipping Rod of the Meek does raise the Melee to hits by 4 points if they are below ten. But it also nerfs ranged to hits down to 10 if they would otherwise be over 10 with the Rod unequipped. There is nothing in the Rod's mechanics that should affect ranged stats but it does in the app.

Equipping Psypherre's Spectacles in the app is giving access to equip 2 extra figurines when it should only be letting the player equip 1. This is on a character whose charisma is below 16.

Issue: On the iOS app. MEC/Mage Medallion/Archmage Medallion allows a wizard/elf wizard to cut themselves once per round. The app only allows us to cut once per room. This is incorrect. Each of the Mage/Archmage powers can only be used once per room. The MEC ability, however, can be used once per round.

Expected behavior: The app should allow a wizard/elf wizard to use the MEC ability once per round.

Also, I'm not really clear on how spell sequencing works in terms of calculating damage. I used a Fire Dart + Quickened Conserved Lightning Storm. My damage on screen was calculating at 53, but at best I'm doing 6+43 from the Fire Dart. I should also be doing another 83 from the Lightning Storm.

Currently, I see only 5 “Folio of X” available under Special. Would it be possible to add the other 4 Folios? Thank you for all your hard work on the app.

This may be due to a large amount of spell resistance coming in on the enemies your're hitting.

Glad you pointed out the MEC issue. It was a little annoying only to have it allowed 1/room by the app.

With respect to the calculation, here's what I've noticed using sequencing.
When you cast two spells and one is an AoE, what is sent to the dice roller is the total damage for the single target spell (less any monster mitigation) and only the base damage for the AoE spell (less any monster mitigation). Based on your example, I think 6 + 43 +20 - (monster mitigation x 2) = 53 Not sure what room you were in or level of difficulty, but looks like monster DR was 8 for each spell. The pooled damage (included any MEC) for the AoE spell would have to be communicated manually to the DM. At least this is what I saw when I tried a similar combo (i.e. acid splash and fireball).

In V11 Bead of Guided Strike didn't register sneak attacks against the skeletons in room two or Barb Beard in room seven through the android app.

Version 9.5.0 of the Character Generator for IOS and Android has been released and includes the following changes:

1. Mad Evoker can now be used every round
2. Rod of the Meek only affects melee to hit and damage
3. Added the remaining Folio's
4. Corrected a problem on Android with Psyphere's Spectacles
5. Corrected a problem on IOS with Paladin Lay on Hands
6. Added a generic Creature File*

* When entering the VTD view, and the Code Word entry comes up, you can now enter 'Dungeon' and you will enter a practice Creature File with 7 creature rooms. These are essentially 7 Training Rooms. 3 of the creatures are Undead, with the rest just generic, allowing players to try out builds.
