TOPIC: True Dungeon Character Generators (App)

My 2022 tokens just arrived today so I excitedly opened up the app and was stoked to find that an update was available that included 2022 tokens!

After updating my gear I noticed that the Deadshot set is not applying the +1 level set bonus when all 3 Deadshot items are equipped. This is on the Android app.

Well, this must not have been widely pushed yet. Just went into the app store for my android phone and it's telling me the last available update was on November 6th. Same for the IOS version on my iPad. I'll try again tomorrow, but would also be very excited to see the updates.

I think it might be not 100% updated? Mine also said Nov 6, but it let me update and the 2022 URs were there, but V6C completion tokens (crown of the crude) weren't. Stoked to enter my URs, though!

No IOS version update available as of today for me.

This morning I went to the app details and this time the update button was active. And YES, the 2022 tokens are now available. Sometimes I have to scroll to the bottom of the drop down list to see them (i.e. not all are in alphabetical order). Still no update available on IOS, but this is very cool.

First - It can't be said often enough how awesome the creators of the app, website and spreadsheet are for continuing to maintain these programs. They are simply amazing.

Second (pet peeve) - This happens way more than half of the time, but tokens that add to ranged damage are not adding to spell damage. I've seen this in the app, the website and the spreadsheet. Sigh. Muk's (ranged version) is one example. I'm sure I'll have many more comments later today. Take them for what they are, which is just pointing out things that need to be corrected. They are not complaints.

First Quick Review
Lenses of Hunting - Transmutes are generally all in orange font, these are in black. Also, they are not adding +2 damage to spells.
Ring of Havoc (ranged) - Does not add +2 to spell damage
Greater Ring of Havoc (ranged) - Does not add +4 to spell damage
Muk's Greater Ring of Havoc (ranged) - Does not add +6 to spell damage

Harlax's Helpful Lamp - I get it, the HP bonus can vary. I ultimately see this working like the CoAS with options to select based on the assumed number of HHLs in the party. Right now it gives you a description but isn't adding any HP.

Version 9.0.0 has been released for IOS and Android, with the following changes:

1.2022 Token set added (these all appear at the end of the list to be easier to find for now. In February, the list will be re-alphabetized.)
2. Creature File is updated for V7
3. Many modifications for the new Dice Roller graphics. (It does look very cool)
4. Added a user set-able modifier for To Hit, Damage and damage type (see below)
5. Rogue Sneak Attack now takes advantage of Figuring of Power: Panther
6. Questor's Charm of Luck effect on Saving Throws added
7. Viv's Amulet of Noble Might now works for Dwarven Fighters on Android

Boost: To Hit and Damage modifier can now be set within the VTD views. (menu item) This provides the ability to set a + or - To Hit and/or set +/- to Damage. The default duration is one room. The values are always set when the room number changes. That can be changed to just one attack. So you can now use this for a variety of Ammo types, or if the DM provides a modifier based on the room or saving throw. The range is -9 to +9 for each. You can also set the damage type, so if your ammo is Cold based, you can set that also.

BTW: I submit apps to both Google and Apple at the same time. After that I have absolutely no control over how long it takes each to approve and perform the final release. It also takes a couple hours for the update to hit all the servers. Sometimes Apple is faster. Sometimes Google is faster. Neither is in my control.

Understand you don't control timing of app availability. I have been checking every few hours and the IOS version is finally available for an update. Thank you so much for everything you do.

As expected, some items are not including spell damage. I assume I'll need to wait until at least the v8 version for that update. In the meantime, I hope DMs understand that actual spell damage will likely be very understated in the apps and casters will need to adjust manually.

None of the new transmute rings give spell power when set to ranged attack. Needs updated (I know they aren't transmutable yet but they should be updated)

My iPad shows I have the new update, but I cannot find Harlan’s Helpful Lamp. It should be under special, correct?

Yes, it's there, but as stated, not in alphabetical order. Scroll to the bottom of the list. It's the last item right before none. At this point, it just has a description that tells you the hp bonus is based on the number of lamps in the party. You'll have to calculate and add the hp manually.
