TOPIC: Token Draw Happiness

Well, assuming there are 8000 or so players, what would you assume the average treasure draw is going to be? Just going to use 8 per player, so that would be 64K tokens in the treasure boxes. One percent of that would be 640 tokens that would be comprised of URs and better stuff. Now that 8 average is just number I am assuming, which I honestly think it should be higher.

I know I beat the average with my pulls, which most likely means someone else had less luck. If the boxes remain the same, I am sure that will even out over the years.

I'd guess the average token draw is less than 8. 16 (or 17 with 6th Level) is the max (without artifacts), and I'd guess that the vast majority of players are just drawing their basic 3 tokens. I'd think that would pull the average draw below the 8 level.

I agree that 8 per person is high. Our group is moderately well geared (Nightmare Survivable) and we only have 4 of 10 builds that get 8 or more. (We average 7.4/player when all 10 run).
So if a group like ours has invested as much as we have and doesn't meet an 8/player average, I think the overall average is way below

That being said, I appreciate the slightly "heavy" boxes. Our percentage of "specials" was much higher in one run than our groups second, but it didn't feel like it was tilting anything. Plus it was fun to feel like there was something meaningful possible.

Run 1 (10 players, 74 pulls - 5 specials)
Run 2 (6 players, 58 pulls - 2 specials)

I only picked 8 with the thinking that 20-30% of the slots are taken by a player that is pulling more than 3. The average may be closer to 6, but that is something about which we can only speculate.

Spoken like a true second tier vendor (which I am as well). That wasn't meant to offend it is just a common feeling by anyone with a store. In my opinion if it isn't abused (and I don't think the current numbers are an abuse) it will be good for the game because it will bring more people in if they get a "cool" item (it did me).

Always after Gen Con we see a flood of new powerful tokens and the market dips the hope is it will come back stronger than before and in most cases it does (except Wert's year - it still isn't recovered from a Greater Gloak of Destinhy and Girdle of Frost Giant Strength). Those high quantities have to fall out of the market.

I actually think the Greater Cloak of Destiny and Girdle of Frost Giant Strength have recovered from the 2013 glut, I'm seeing some increased demand for those. On the other hand, it was the death blow for the +3 Mithral Bracers and Ring of Improved Evasion, those plummeted in value and have never recovered. Which is discouraging for someone that spent a lot of resources to transmute those, especially considering the increased power level and decreased transmute cost of Relics in following years.

In reference to the Ring of improved evasion and the +3 Mithral Bracers I feel like the only reason they have not bounced back is because demand for them is low. The gridle and cloak are still best in slot for many classes. However in the ring and wrist slot better options ate available.

the dragon completion potions...could be an hint that a dragon is making a come back???? not sure but that ring would take back off on breath weapons

If the advertised % for relics and above was accurate - .5% - and if the average treasure draw was 6, then there were about 48k draws. That would be 240 relics or above.

That is a lot.

If URs were as advertised at 1% that would be 480 URs.

I am seeing a fair number of legendaries advertised for sale on the site and it appears that GamingEtc was buying some.

I think the URs are a perfectly good if not excellent enticement for new players. I'm fine with some relics and maybe one of each new legendary.

It's definitely a case of supply and demand. The demand isn't high, but the very high supply is contributing as well to the low price.

The average player doesn't want or care about pulling a trade good for their treasure pulls why not let them have a chance at getting something that they would never actually get any other way.
