Sounds like being the rogue is best to get extra treasure...

My brother and I have built out red sets for all 12 characters... And I have been adding some ur's to enhance them a bit... Just in case in pick-up games we don't have to arrive 30 min early and pull the level 3 player benefit to pick first... Five of them are level 5 by rings of heroism, charm of heroism, and a medallion of heroism (which I hate that that one prohibits the use of rings).

MoH came out when the only other option to level 5 was the Might set. So, three URs or one... It was a good option at the time. Still the cheapest. But being a third of the cost means it has to have a drawback.

Rogues can correct me - but at least in the past the rogue treasure is handed out right there in the room, and it has a different mix than the overall treasure mix - I think you're right that it doesn't have monster bits (if it did there would be spoilers).

I forgot to list the might set... For another red set making level 5... I am considering another +2 scepter of might... Then I can split the other five to two sets of three for another +1 level for cost of only the scepter...

Your argument makes sense... Three ultra rares for a level vs one... So the ring restriction makes sense in a way... In a way takes up three slots (neck plus the two rings) for cost of one ur vs cost of three ur's for the three piece might set.

Thanks for making this point clear....

The diff is the Might pieces all do something else besides. For some classes, some were arguably BiS until recently. MoH and the anti-rings do nothing but level 5.

Rings of Heroism are another obvious upgrade, freeing up neck and a ring over MoH.

There is someone who conspicuously matches that description ;). It's Raven (er... Nightshade?) here in the forums.

Hi Myron!
I'm Raven (my real name) or Nightshade (when in character. ... and that's Guildmaster Nightshade to the likes of you, swindling scum!) Er, I mean - Thanks for the shout out, Matthew.*

I don't know if I'm the Rogue in question, but I've helped out at TD101 class from time to time, so it's possible that it was me. (Then again, I don't know if I'm a good enough speaker to make my dungeon runs sound exciting... I tend to trip over my words or forget to slow down when doing public speaking.) But the Dungeon Delvers Anonymous group does make for fantastic team mates, so I can't fault you for wanting to find more folks of that caliber to play with.

The great thing is, you're more than halfway there!

Meeting people on the forums, and forming groups online, puts you in a much better position to feel out your team mates, and get to know them before you have to face the dungeons together. Not to mention that having your groups & token builds figured out ahead of time means you can spend more of your Coaching time talking about strategy, or finding out how your team mates work together! It's no guarantee you'll get along with everyone -- some folks are very direct & task-focused; some prefer role playing; some love the meta-gaming -- but it's way less of a crap shoot than a Pick-Up Group, by far.

What song would you use? I think Little RIchard's Keep a Knockin' would work well, but I'm sure there are other viable choices.

It's a very different mix. Most rogue box pulls are UCs with some rares thrown in and no monster trophies. I'm not aware of any rogue ever pulling a UR (or higher) from a rogue box, but hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?

Last year the Rogue boxes contained only rares.

Sure! That kind of 45... Lol! I don't have a player currently and the only 45 single I have is something like "I Wanna Be A Cowboy" or some such.... Probably would scare away any intruder it is so corney.

My first run in 2014, the rogue in my party pulled out a monster bit. I do not know if it was supposed to be in there, but it was.

I only pulled rares from Rogue boxes last year. In the past I have gotten uncommon tokens, and the year we got the Golem Spring, I pulled both of mine from Rogue boxes :)
