Shouldn't the orb of might be equipable as ranged offhand? Obviously you can't slide it but it can be equipped with, for example, a mighty sling, providing a damage bonus of 1 for the sling.

Nope - it can't be equipped in the ranged offhand because of... reasons....

IIRC it was for reasons like

+1 weapon in melee main hand
Shield in melee off hand

Sling in Ranged Main hand
Orb of Might in Ranged Offhand.


For a Melee heavy build that really didn't intend to use ranged and wanted the AC in Melee.
And when the Might set was the main way to get +1 level.

AKA ranged sleaze.

Huh, I've been around for a while and never noticed that was errata'd. Do you still get the STR bonus when the orb is used in melee offhand?

Edit: that was unclear. do you get the str bonus with your ranged weapon?

Just a comment, looks like the stats are in the order they would appear on a 1st edition D&D character sheet.

Nope - the Orb's strength bonus only applies when it is held (unlike the set's +1 level bonus).

from the Complete List of Set Bonuses thread, the DMG , and the QTR :
You may temporarily swap one or both hand-held set-piece items (either melee for ranged or ranged for melee) and maintain the set's bonus. However, the bonuses granted by the individual "lost" item(s) won't apply. E.g., a ranger using Scepter, Orb, and Boots of Might to gain a level may swap out the Scepter and Orb to use a ranged weapon, but may not use any other melee weapons. During the swap-out, the ranger loses the +2 Strength bonus granted by the Orb of Might, but maintains the +1 level granted by the Might set.

Ok, let's take these one at a time.

1. Kvothe's Bloodless: Yes, I will correct the spelling on the next version. This involves more changes than you know, but it will get done.
2. Teeth of Cavadar: This set is really getting annoying. I will change the description text, but the names will remain the same.
3. Ability Score Order: Sorry, I'm old school. No changes are planned.
4. CoA and other treasure enhancers: I don't see a need to remove it. If the coaches don't need it, ok, but it doesn't hurt to be there. I will consider it if I need the screen space.
5. I highlight the environmental bonuses, so they can be easily seen. Green for Melee and Violet to Missile. Cold-Melee needs to be fixed.
6. I presently lock out based on Lens of Fortune, but do not for CoA. I could, but that code is getting complicated with different named tokens locking out some or all treasure enhancers. I will consider it.

This is shaping up to be a busy summer. I am not sure if I will get another version out before Gencon or not. So far, I am not seeing any major issues, but please let me know if I am missing something.

I used the app, and it's great. But I wanted to post my build, and couldn't figure out how to do it. I tried to email it, but the email button didn't work.
