TOPIC: Eponymous Tokens

Re: Eponymous Tokens 9 years 9 months ago #25

Mike Steele wrote: Very true, but a number of them are pretty well known, at least by their forum names. I'd recommend only listing the ones that are either public knowledge or that their namesakes volunteer the info.

So - who wants their names (real and/or forum) to be posted along with their tokens in the timeline, to be made famous for ages to come? :)

K, well then I'd be disappointed in you, if you didn't enter the dungeon with your dice just like the token...

Also just curious, what's the deal with the "Smakdown's Charm of Camaraderie" that shows up as a charm in the character builder? But it has no picture, or stats that I can tell.

Should it be on the list?

Is there a description somewhere of the difference between Legendary, Artifact, Relic, and I guess Transmuted.

Sorry.

For the record, I do not want my real name published. Feel free to list my forum name.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .
If I write something in teal, it should not be taken seriously

Those are some friggin' awesome-looking dice, but though they have blue and green, my teal is not an option.

(updated based on later posts)

Artifact: these are special tokens created via Arcane Recipe tokens sold for charity, "soul forged" to only one person (nobody else can use them).

Transmuted tokens are made by taking a "normal" token (usually an ultra-rare) and combining it with some ingredients to get a better token. For example, the +2 Keen Longbow can be transmuted into the +2 Keen Slayer Bow:

tokendb.com/token/2-keen-slayer-bow/

Transmuted tokens usually (always) have to be done by a certain date as specified in the Trade Token Guide:

truedungeon.com/newsletter/Trade_Token_Guide.pdf

Relics are the highest-level transmuted tokens (The +2 Keen Slayer Bow is a Relic Transmuted token, other Transmuted tokens of lesser "value" aren't Relics).

Then, you can convert a Transmuted token into a Legendary token, but no time limit on this. The Legendary tokens require not only a Transmuted token, and lots of trade goods, and a staggering amount of gold (40,000 usually).

The +2 Keen Slayer Bow gets transmuted to Io's +4 Ultra Keen Slayer Bow:

tokendb.com/token/ios-4-ultra-keen-slayer-bow/

We buy, sell, and trade True Dungeon tokens. We also have a convenient consignment program where you can sell your own tokens.

Relic is a transmuted UR. So +3 viper fang is a relic

The stars represent the level of a Transmuted Item. There are 3,4, and 5 pointed stars on all the Transmutes. I believe people refer to the 5 points as Relics.
