TOPIC: Full rod tokens

Re: Full rod tokens 9 years 10 months ago #121

So, is there a comprehensive list of those who have declared they have a Full Rod of Seven Parts and their numbers? I really think it was a grand idea to put specific numbers on each of these. If names are associated with the numbers these would be useless in the hands of a rogue.

No names are associated ( other than this thread). They are not sole bound. They can be sold or traded.

I think most people who got a Mithral Coin either traded it for a Seg #1 or a Horn of Plenty.

I traded mine for 2007 50ft rope. Those are so hard to come by

Aww I've got 13 of those .

But if you know your number and lose it you can post here and hopefully it will find its way back to you.

I would trade you for that number. :)

I'm actually pretty happy with that number. I think the only number I would trade it for is 134.

But it does leave a starting point to who owned it. If the owner sells it, and it gets sold ten more times, the last owner, if stolen from him would most likely post about its loss and probably know the number. Therefore many would be on the look out for it, and trying to use it at the Con at the point would be careless of the rogue.

I like the fact that these are numbered and anything stolen can be tracked if someone tries to use it. I wish all the legendary tokens were numbered.

I try very hard NEVER to say that. Because, if I do and it happens, I get these queasy feeling. What if I just burned a wish on something trivial? I should have wished for super lotto jackpot numbers or the ability to fly or something much cooler.

But then I don't own any legendaries.

Say a rod was lost. Then let's say Bob found it. Bob not being cool decided to sell it to mark. Mark unaware buys it.
12 months later mark shows up at gencon with it.
Dave( the person that lost it) is his coach and notices that was the one he lost ...that will be a problem.

And it should be.

But also, the forum would have announced the loss somewhere. Bob probably knows it is valuable and still decides to keep/sell it, and Mark knows he bought it from Bob. I would guess that Mark (if not also Bob) would have seen the issue on the forum. After all, who is in a possession of a RoSP and then never goes to the forum to read about it?

Fun Fact*: all legendary tokens are encoded with a specialized radioactive frequency unique to that token. At all times Jeff carries around with him a special Geiger counter made just for TD that can track this signal and identify the token's true owner.

The radiation emitted by these tokens is mostly harmless, but I wouldn't recommend storing them near your reproductive organs for extended periods.

I have a special lead & adamantium alloy-lined box. If you'd like me to "hold onto" your legendaries--you know, for safety--hand them to me at Gen Con.

*and by "fact" I mean total bullsh..
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
