Sure, I'd love to run with the 5th level sub-class more than once per Gen Con. But, allowing that for all the completed rod holders creates yet another tier of players that would need to be accounted for in stating out the dungeon.

I'm not understanding the amount of blowback regarding this. You are getting the original powers, an Eldritch item, and a once per GC special 5th-level class. What more do you want?

Me personally I would have liked 2x the seg powers and the special class once a con.
I mean most people that have the rod, have a way to get to 5th level already

I like the subclasses. The 5th level benefit doesn't seem that big of a boon, considering the multiple ways to get it now (especially with the ring and charm available). Not trying to be greedy asking if it can be for multiple runs--it would be nice to have options, though, since I run 7-8 times a year. An extra stat benefit would be nice, too (obviously), but not necessary.

Oh, I like calling them prestige classes better too! It sounds like a step up from the regular classes that way. Sub-class sounds like a step down from the regular classes, IMO.
I make chainmail! Check out www.ArcadianChain.com for chainmail jewelry and accessories, including token holders, dice bags, and d20 keychains.

I like Prestige Classes also (and I even capitalized them) ;)

While I agree the 5th lvl aspect of the Sub/prestige class is a boost I agree with Laz in that pretty much everyone that has a rod is going to have a way to get 5th lvl already. I guess it opens up a charm slot...

I can wait to see these new class options :)
I still think it would be cool to allow the class to be played until its marked dead. :woohoo:

Is the world ending ? People are agreeing with me . Druegar said I had a great idea.
Something is clearly wrong. Either 2014 is awesome for me. Or everyone has been hit in the head.

Or you have been hit in the head and are having great dream...
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

Generally speaking this is 160+ posts with very little disagreement. Clearly something is wrong with the internet.

I agree!

I was expecting more disagreement (Though I'll push again for the Variant Classes being available for at least two runs!) ;)
