Actually, that's not quite what I understand. Of course, I could be wrong, but then it wouldn't explain why I have some of the dropped tokens with the dragon on them.

2005A = 2005C except for the logo is the dragon.
2005D I think this is also 2005A, but not positive.
Thanks for the information on the years things changed. Looks like nothing changed between 2005b and c/d, so I made a column just called 2005b+ on the chart linked here.

Here's a link to a complete grid with years included for everything, colorized according to rarity. This is almost all Gary's work - I simply added this year and colorized it. Credit for all the previous legwork goes to him.

Token Chart, with rarity, by series of issue

Thanks for the credit - that sheet does look familiar...oooo but look at all the pretty colors!!!

And it's GEARON's Heavy Mace...come on now...our first named token as far as I know...(the hammer was rumored away as false...) teee hee

For the collector's appendix, what about having the tokens starred that have less than 100 copies in existance? The collector "chase tokens". I'm not sure how the 2005C/D changes things, but I think this would be 16 non-purple tokens.

OK, shows what I get for opening my mouth....

Sorry I was looking at the VR Potion at the same time as the scroll.

What I have is:
Scroll: Cure light wounds
2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 – Rare – 5 pts
2003, 2005, 2006 – VR -8 pts

I think, and I have to confirm with Jeff on this that the 2005a print run was the same as 2004. I think he did not change things up until 2005b. After that the runs were all based off the same screens, just differing mixes of each type as needed. The problem is I do not have a definitive master screen for 2005a, but I do recall the 2005b run being the spark of an entire behind the scenes discussion over the changed tokens. Jeff might have made some slight changes to 2005a over 2004 series, but other than the symbol on the reverse, I can't verify any changes. I will see if I can get a master shot of the 2005a print run.

Dave

2005A had weapons - 2004 did not.

But then again 2005 A B C D does not make sense to me...I thought there were only two runs that year.

NOTE: what I think is out there is shown in the sheet that Evan linked to a few posts up. Now if that is right or not - I of course would LOVE to know...

G

D was during SoCal. It was a rush print and ship so we would have them if I remember correctly.

See I don't count that...print runs of the same stuff is no big deal to me and undistinguishable with the naked eye...is my guess...I am just tracking changes of symbols on the tokens...2003, 2004, 2005A, 2005B, 2006.

Dave,
I have the following changes for 2004 to 2005A
Dropped:
3,4,6,7,9 gp, 5gp crystal, 10 gp citrine, bone map case, scroll:detect poisen, scroll: detect secret doors, minor rumor
11, 12,13,14,agate, azurite, malachite, obsidian, medium rumor
20 gp, hourglass, temporarily scroll of CLW 8, haste potion
Added:
weapons/armor, MW holy symbol, peridot

Gary
There was 2005 A, B. There was also a 2005C as shown by the fact that items like wand of CLW which had been dropped from 2005B was suddenly back (with a dragon). Ask Smak, he has lots of these tokens. I have only one or two. There was also a 2005D. This may be the one to drop, as it is either = 2005C or 2005B(I think the latter)

That's certainly a way to do it, as long as you know that you have to get all the "dropped" tokens from 2005B with the dragon on them.

I am fairly certain there were only two sets of token screens (sets) made in 2005. I am not certain (Gary calls some doubt on this) if 2005 was any different from 2004, other than the weapons of course. Again this is my understanding, C and D were just limited run printings of specific tokens, not full sets. I will see if Jeff has reliable documentation.

The problem with token counts is that in 2005 there were not complete sets of print runs made. Some were emergency runs of just common or rare or even just weapons to back fill demand. The best we will be able to do (unless Jeff kept very accurate records) is let you know what images make up a complete set. It may be very difficult to say (other than maybe the ultra rares) there were only 250 of a particular token "minted" in 2005.

Dave

Hey don't rely on me - I think Apteryx is way ahead of me on understanding 2005...

Way I recorded it was 2005A is Windface, 2005B is Dragon. That's it. If a token has a Windface it is 2005A if it has a Dragon it is 2005B...if some 2005B was printed in January and some in December...but the symbol matches it is still the set that goes with the face.

But you UBER addicts out there...listen to Apteryx or Dave once this gets all figured out...I'm sticking to the easy road with pictures.
