So perhaps his coin swimming is not a wealth/greed-based power, but a subset of superstrength. Worth considering...

I LOVE that Scrooge McDuck is the only person in his universe other than maybe Flintheart Glumgold who can swim through coins. Every time anyone else tried, they got hurt. SMACK

Scrooge was monster strong though. Once he tore the smoke stack off a steamer ship with his bear hands (to say nothing of the time he fought the bear). Truly he was a great adventurer and amazing character, he is missed.

You had to be pretty strong to live in Scrooge's world though.

I mean, life is like a hurricane, here in Duckberg. Race cars, lasers, aeroplanes, it's a duck blur. He might solve a mystery, or re-write history.

In all seriousnes though read the life and times of Scrooge McDuck if you ever get a chance. I'm not a fan of duck comics but it a surprisingly solid read.
