- There were two versions of the 2011 Dire Squid Ink, the standard one, and then the golden ticket version which was the same token but with Rare (Red) lettering. I’m thinking this should be listed as a separate token?

Also, a few questions. Can someone confirm that the chippy style combo, trade combo, and relic tokens were/are only produced with gold backs? Same question for the monster trophy, completion and volunteer recognition tokens? Just kind of wondering if any of them were/are ever produced with platinum or an onyx backing?

As far as I'm concerned, that's a misprint and the TDb doesn't track those. If it behaved in a different way, that would be one thing, but having red lettering doesn't affect it in any way. It's not a game-usable token and the redness doesn't affect its Exchange value--it's still worth 1/10th of a Golden Fleece.

Other than the chippy Ring of Regeneration, all the ones you mentioned have gold backs. Ring of Regeneration has a platinum back.

Until I can get home and check my personal collection, can anyone else confirm or deny the existence of a 2009 Gen Con Promo token? 2009 tokens have the oak leaf year icons.

I am 90% certain that the Gen Con promo tokens that I have are from 2009. My friend got them at C2E2 that year.

FYI: There seems to be some file corruption going on. I am supremely certain 99.99% of these tokens with missing images used to have images associated with them, but some of the images have become detached from the main entry or the images files are getting corrupted. The other data I'm not as confident (everything is entered by hand after all), but it seems unlikely this many tokens would have missing Exchange info. We're trying to get to the bottom of what's happening.
