Just so we are clear, Gloves and Gauntlets take the same slot correct?

Also, I'm not sure that I agree the Monk can't use Bracers and these Gloves in tandem. Or, if a Monk doesn't have his special attack-bracers, I don't see why you could use these Gloves in conjunction with, say, a Sai of Snaring.

Gloves and Gauntlets are the same slot, but Bracers are a separate slot.

Is it possible to get the regular combo items before Gen Con or do we have to wait?

Only Gencon..... Trade tokens are before but the regular combos are convention only.

Cuz otherwise we might not even GO to GenCon.

Eelskin Glove - here are the ones I'm unsure on (want to make sure the character creator is correct):

Halberd
Iron Long Spear
Trident (from my understanding these were usually all metal)
Maul
Hammer / Fairie Iron Warhammer
Orcish Flail
Sai
Fairie Iron Club
Obsidian Dagger (I'm thinking this is not metal)
Orcish Scourge
Pilum of Lightning
Scythe
Spiked Buckler
Sylvan Scepter (wood?)

Well, I tried to simplify things by stating the following, (Weapons include: daggers, swords, maces (most scepters), axes, and mugs). But I can see there are too many distinctions. In my mind, hammers, flails, and scepters fall into the mace category. I tried to say spears, clubs, and staves would not apply, but then of course we have iron shod clubs. So much for trying to be logical.

I think I need to make as clear a list as I can with only one exception.

Categories OK with gloves:
Daggers (all), Swords, Sickles, Maces, Hammers, Flails, Morningstars, Scepters (except Sylvan), Mauls, Sai, Scourges, Axes, and Mugs.

Categories not allowed with gloves:
Spears, tridents, pilum, staves, clubs (all), halberds, Scythes, Buckers, and any kind of future bracer that might have spikes and a damage wheel.

The only reason I am excepting the sylvan scepter is because we declared it to be completely wooden so it could be used with the Ring of the Woodworker, so in my mind it makes it a pretty club.

but then I guess all scepters could fall in that category.
