TOPIC: Amulet of Wonder for 2011 - what should it be?

I think I see Lazlo's point.<br /><br />8 players show up.  Player 1 is getting his turn on the party card, shows AoW.  Coach goes and gets card of choice.  Player 7 shows up 3 mins before entering training, again with AoW.  Coach burns 1 min going to get ANOTHER card.

<br /><br />It takes a full minute to get a card? I know we want to make things easier on the coaches, but come on now...

Used to almost be a full minute...when the Level 4 cards were hanging on the wall behind the coaching room...sometimes they had be be untangled...and there were lots of them...45 seconds easy.

Really? There's gotta be a better way...<br /><br />Logistics could be worked it out if the effect was chosen - I just ask not to can it because of issues that don't even exist with it yet.

I can't wait to see the better way...<br /><br />IF we are going to see numerous "CHAR upgrades" every year going forward now (due to tokens) we definitely need a better "multi-card" storage and organization system.<br /><br />Better yet...we just need one extra body per coaching room going forward.

So if you don't like the Amultet of Wonder effect you rolled, do you still have to wear it?    Say you dislike it and prefer to wear Torc of Natural Armor instead?

I'd bet that to take possession of the DIE means that you have entered into a contract to wear the AOW the entire game...So you take your fate into your own hands.

Yes - once you asked for the die, you had to wear the AoW the entire adventure.<br /><br />I still would be very surprised to see another die used next year.<br /><br />And I hope that the effect is not one that duplicates new tokens, such as being able to speak/communicate/breathe underwater.

<br /><br />I can see one that allows breathing/speaking/spellcasting and free action underwater.
