<br /><br />Yeah, that would be good for clarification.  I'd been assuming that The Might Set would stack with Smak's bonuses, and that the Might set would stack with the Eldtritch set - and maybe that Smack would be able to get his bonus level, the Might bonus level, AND the Eldritch Bonus Level.  Jeff - can you clarify this?  Which if any of the bonus levels stack?  That will probably impact who gets the Eldritch items, if you've already got the Might set, and the levels don't stack, then the Eldtritch abilities aren't nearly as impressive. 

jeff has said that he plans on putting out an official notice/standard of sets being locked in when people were discussing the might set bonus.  i asked for clarification on if he meant ALL set bonuses, or just those that had an impact similar to +1 level (most sets could have hand items swapped as needed, and shown to DMs when applicable).  jeff seemed to be saying that he did want ALL sets locked in for the adventure.  this isnt definite yet, but you can be sure that any +1 level set bonus will lock that set in for equipping (too difficult to revert to lower level during dungeon run if you swap them out).

Yeah, the token guide says all party members get +1 level.

<br /><br /><br />He mentioned previously that you could swap to a missle weapon without losing the set bonus.    Then, final rules to be discussed.    If your Rogue is using the Sceptre of Might, you will likely do more damage and have a better to hit (because of your dex) with a +2 Flaming Shortbow.    Except for backstab, why ever use a melee weapon if you have the might set?    <br /><br />I am been lobbying to "bump up" the Sceptre Damage wheel to make it a more viable alternative.

<br /><br />if you are trying to make the scepter compare to nightshade's short sword for damage, please stop and think.  nightshade's is the top of the curve for short swords, and the scepter already has a bonus ability.  making it equal on damage would obsolete nightshade's, and then give +1 level on top of that.

<br /><br />They SHOULD stack.  The +1 is coming from very different sources and it has been tradition that those kind of items stack.  If they don't stack, I agree with Mike, the Eldritch combo power is weak.  Another issue is that if the might set and Smak's artifact don't stack, it, in effect, negates Smak's artifact.  I know Smak has as many tokens as I do (probably more) and I'm pretty sure I will have between 4-6 of my party of 8 at +1 level this year.  Smak should be able to do the same.  The same is true for Bridgette, not stacking negates her Deck of Many Things Power, which just isn't right.

<br />The ruling was made that the AoW or HoP cannot be pased around - why would the Eldritch items be allowed to be passed around.  I think that would make them way too powerful.<br />

<br /><br />I'm still not sure if you can pass the individual Eldritch items around if you only have one, but I'm sure that you can't pass them around if you are using them for their set ability, based on this comment from Jeff in the Ultra-Rare thread (about the Might set I believe):<br /><br />But yes...if you want the set bonus, you are locked in the whole adventure.<br /><br />Since you are locked in with sets for the whole adventure, there's no chance of passing them around.

<br /><br />Yes, I remembered this year's 4th level cap, but after I had posted.  IIRC, it was something on the order of "we don't have time to come up with 5th level cards and we are planning re=doing them anyway" ...<br /><br />Since we are re-doing them, I think a 6th level should be done for the cases of the artifact and DoMT card.  They can be handled like Smak's artifact was this year (Smak had a set of 4th level cards that he was resposible for and passed out to his teammates).  Only two sets would be necessary and maybe not even that much if the DoMT card holder only plays a few classes.<br /><br />The question is, does Bridgette ever run with Smak?  What do in this case?  Maybe a special power for her when she runs with Smak?<br /><br />This may come up in the future, other artifacts could add a level, or another set.  By the time we get around to the Eldritch set (5 years) we probably will be up another level for everyone.

This could be a very valid case especially with the Eldritch Set + Might Set+ Smak on a Ranger/Druid is perfectly doable in 2015.<br />
