Looks good to me - good price considering free shipping...

I wonder if I really was able to get 1/2 sizes at Boot World...hmmm

Yeah, I only see whole sizes. So, do you go a full size higher to use an insole?

I think I had to get 11's and I usually wear 10s...they were too small at 10s and just right with insoles at 11.

The top of the boots look tight. Is there room to tuck in pant legs?

There should be. The top of the boot laces up, so you should be able to tuck pants in and lace it up to however tight you want it. I guess if you have really big calves you may have a problem.

Also - you may not want to wear socks...I decided that women's hose were the best thing even over not wearing anything - as they slide in and more importantly out easier... they also help hold the tucked in pants I had AS I slipped on the boots...

Women's hose? Oh dear, what path have I begun to travel?

Tucked in pants are a fad of the past Gary. You need to move on to boot blousers.

These are what the military uses to keep those cuffed BDU pants looking right without actually shoving them in to your boot and making them look goofy. (Except the Army, but they're a different breed of animal...)

I grew up in that past...so what if I am a creature of habit.

Plus MinneT's need to show off the top of the boot as that is really the coolest part...so tucking in is better than blousing

so NAHHH nah ;)

Another option would be women's trouser socks. They are very thin, almost as thin as hose, but come in a variety of colors and patterns. They are what I was wearing with my boots. They are knee-high and stayed up really well. And I have very large calfs, so they should also be comfortable on most men.

Well, as I continue my search for a cool costume, I have came across some cool armor pieces. I could put together a Red Dragon Disciple outfit by getting armor made of red "dragon" hide. My only concern is some armor pieces have one inch spikes or claws. You can get them plastic rather than metal, but I am concerned it may be against Gen Con policies. I see plenty of guidelines about Weapons at Gen Con, but I can't find much about actual costume guidelines.

Just FYI - I saw neither armor of that nature for sale nor worn by anyone at GenCon INDY...and I got lots of stares when I yielded a "fake" mace loose from my costume...
