I still play EQ1, EQ2, WoW and a few other games. I liked CoH when I first played because it was different it's a little faster then EQ1, a little slower then WoW in game play. Your a little more limited in abilities more cookie cutter, but at the same time it's more like SWG where you get to at the least pick your trees at the begining instead of sticking to a set model.

The great thing is however, unlike most MMOGs, you won't look like half the server. In fact, I've yet to see any 2 people look even remotely the same.

I quit playing originally due to 1, cutting up my credit card before game cards were available. And 2, lack of people to socialize with.

If nothing else, it's worth a go. The base game is pretty cheap now and gives you a 30 day free subscription. I found this page while hunting down the patcher:

www.coh.com/newsletter/0502/download_info.html

It's about a Valentines day 2 week trial, but I have no idea how you would get the serial code to try it.

Which server is an excellent question! We play on the Guardian server...

Bah! Guardian . . . the vast majority of my characters are all on Freedom. I've had a resurgence in interest in CoH lately (being maxxed at 60 on my main in WoW and some coolish new stuff going on in CoH), but if I made a character on Guardian, it'd be like alt #12, and would be likely to get little playtime.

What's the average level of folks in the TD Supergroup?

Larry you have got to get in on this! I would even bet you could come up with some type of character with oatmeal in the name.

We have all types of character levels in the groups, with a few people who are interested by have yet to catch me online so who knows what lvl they are. We have five or six guys in the mid 30, a few in the 20's, a few teens and then a couple of new characters. If you have multiple characters you are welcome to join the SG with any or all.

Just to point something funny out, about 10 minutes after Mighty_Fluff posted saying he reactivated his account, an e-mail went out saying that they reactivated every inactive account for 5 days!

Now the funny part is, I reactivated my account at about the same time! Talk about coincedence. I'll probably join you guys. I don't know what character is on Guardian, but he is probably about 10ish.
